Starstruck

Chapter 1

~Jenine's POV~

As Caroline and I hurried into school we totally regretted coming. There were people making out, getting shoved, and people even getting weggied!! Caroline just looked at me and shurged, "I will see you at lunch Jenine!" "Ok see you soon!" I said and waved at her while she waved back.

As soon as I turned around I collided with another body sending me on the floor with my books scattered.  Welcome to high school Jenine! I looked up and saw.. no freaking way. Shawn Mendes was standing in front of me picking up my books. " Oh my gosh! Are you ok? I didn't even see you there!" Shawn said helping me stand up. I was 4'11 making me really small for a 15 year old. " Uhh yeah I am fine!" I said nervously while taking his hand and standing up. "Woah you noise is bleeding. Sorry about that, I should probably watch where I am going." Shawn said chuckling to himself, "I'll walk you to the office." "Oh it's ok! It's my first day here so I could get a tour from this." I said blushing because may I remind you I was talking to THE SHAWN MENDES.

"Cool! Are you a freshman or just new to the area?" Shawn asked while opening the office door. "I am a freshman. I went to Dayside Junior High School." I said taking a seat and Shawn went to go get some tissues. "That's where I went too!" Shawn said handing me the tissues.

"So since I bumped into you in the hallway and started a conversation with you, what's your name beautiful?" Shawn askes staring deep into my eyes. First of all I can't get over the fact that I am still having a conversation with Shawn. Second of all he asked me what my name was and is actually curious about me. Third of all he called me beautiful. Wow. Hey Jenine how was your first day of high school? "Jenine" you said with a smile. " and I know your Shawn. I subscribe to you on YouTube. " " Oh cool! It's weird to know that ordinary people you meet actually know who you are right?" Shawn said. "Yeah I get what you are saying." I replied throwing away the bloody tissues.

"Well I better get going. I need to find my first class and know where I am going." I said trying to stop the awkward conversation but still taking in every moment. "Ok! It was really nice meeting you Jenine.  You have a lovely name by the way." Shawn said leading me out the office door and into the crowded hallways. "Thank you.  It was nice meeting you too." I said with a smile.

" Maybe we could sit together at lunch? I am sure the boys won't mind." Shawn said. "Sounds good! Maybe my friend could sit with us too? She has been my bestfriend since forever and we don't really know anyone else." I said while walking next to Shawn. "That's cool too! The boys like it when girls sit at our table. It makes them feel more like a man." Shawn said making us both laugh. " Ok sounds good! I will see you at lunch Shawn!" " Bye Jenine!" Shawn said while you both walked different directions. Maybe this wasn't going to be such a bad day after all.
