"Do you think I should cut my hair?' Rory asked. Jess shrugged fumbling around for a cigarette. "Hey." Rory said walking over to Jess. "What's going on?" "Nothing." Jess sighed inhaling deeply on his cigarette. Rory had always known that Jess smoked but before they lived together she'd never really seen him do it. He'd been in a bad mood for days now and Rory couldn't do anything to make him happy. "I've got to go class now but do you want to go on a date later?" She suggested. "Maybe." Jess mumbled picking up a book to read to avoid any further conversation.
"Hey Ace!" Logan smiled hugging Rory who he'd taken to calling Ace. "Do you have time to get a coffee before class?" He asked heading for the coffee cart and ordering two coffees. "Thanks." Rory smiled. "Hey Logan last night was amazing! Wanna repeat tonight at my place?" A girl asked kissing Logan. Rory stood uncomfortably watching them make out until she excused herself by telling Logan that she needed to get to class.
"My long lost child is that you? I don't even remember what you sound like!" Lorelai said dramatically over the phone. "Hey Mom." Rory sighed. "Why so crabby?" Lorelai asked. "I am not crabby! So what have I missed in Stars Hollow?" "Well Rachel broke up with Luke, they're getting a divorce." Lorelai said trying to hide the happiness in her voice. "Oh no why?" "Well Rachel thought that Luke liked me! She said she could tell from the day he met me that he was falling in love with me and she didn't want to be someone's second choice anymore! Oh and apparently Rachel told Luke not to wait to long to make a move with me...isn't that crazy?" "Well..." "What?" "It was pretty obvious that Luke liked you." "It was not! We're just friends!" Lorelai said secretly delighted. "Mom I'm going to have to go, Jess just got home from work." "Ok love you be safe Loin Fruit!" "Bye Mom." Rory laughed. "Hey Jess." "Hey." Jess muttered back grabbing yet another cigerette. "Are you going to smoke that?" Rory asked. "Depends." Jess smiled cheekily returning to his old self for a minute. Rory starting kissing Jess and he put down his cigarette and starting to kissing her back his muscular arms wrapped around her fragile body. "Are you glad you didn't smoke it?" Rory asked. "Yes." Jess smiled. "I'm sorry if I'm not always the best boyfriend, I'm still new to this you know? But you and me, this is forever now. Jeez that sounded cheesy." "No it didn't, it was perfect." "Oh yeah? Not as perfect as this." Jess smirked grabbing Rory and pulling her onto the bed.
