My life is over and i know it. I met Max in the library today to talk and bug each other just like we normally do and his best friend, Caden walks in. Caden is in my history class and is always teased for what he says and does in class. We get along just fine as long as we don't have to deal with each other very much. He sits down and we all look at each other solemnly, push the beanbag under the table, and each put our feet up to begin our conversation. Max, as he always does starts.
"I beat everyone in the mile again" Max said
"Well of course you did nobody else is even going to try."I replied with a look of amusement on my face
"If you're so jealous then maybe you should start competing. What did you get in it anyway hotshot?" He says already knowing my time considering the fact that he wrote it down for the teacher.
"I got the fastest girls time which was a---" I was cut off by the bell and as i stand up to go to my english class he says with pure satisfaction,
"Don't get bored in english." and walks off
As i walk into the hallway, Caden and his group of three friends see the look on my face and shout down the hall,
"I think Becky got a little too much time with Max today!!"
I passed him and went into class with tears streaming down my face. As i sit down, the beautiful,perfect girlfriend of Max comes over and sits down in her seat which is right across from me. She knows exactly what happened and so do I. As I ignore the fact that Mrs.Perfect is sitting two feet from me and is trying to get a rise out of me, what she says next really hits me.
"Hey Becca! Are you the reason Max won't talk to me at night anymore? I could really use him cheering me up and you are stealing him away from me! Don't think that i don't know what you're trying to do. I will not let you get away with it."
At that i stood up, gave her the finger, and walked out of class, not wanting to ever go back.
