CHAPTER THIRTY~ Shame

-Lia's Point of View-

"You're what?!" They both yell in unison.

"Mum we're pregnant and-"

"And I hope you're going to give it up for bloody adoption" My mother screams at me as tears rush down her flushed cheeks.

"Mrs.Payne we-"

"No! Don't you Mrs.Payne her! You got our daughter pregnant within two months! Right before her loving boyfriend was killed!" My dad screams as Niall tries to calm them but it doesn't work and it result in an argument with my parents.

"Loving?! Ha! Drew knew nothing about love! He used to hurt your daughter everytime he saw her! Tell them Lia, tell them what he did to you!" Niall yells at me, brows furrowed in anger and his glare scares me more than my parent's.

"Well!" My mum cries and I remain frozen. I open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out so I just close it. Why in the hell won't I say it?! Just three easy words. He beat me. That's all I have say so why won't it come out?!

"Lilia Nicolette Payne I swear you better spit it out now!" My dad pressures me and it doesn't make anything better. Before my mouth makes a sound I find my feet rushing outside to the car. I climb in and turn the air on letting the cool air calm me.

"Lia why didn't you-"

"Just take me home please" I almost whisper as my eyes start to gloss up.

"Lia I just don't understand, why were you-"

"Niall I don't wanna talk about it! just take me home!" I yell at him and I don't know if its the hormones or not making me so mean. He doesn't say anything else, he only pulls away from my parent's house and begins driving home. The entire ride is silent, no words are spoken, not even the radio is on. I'm glad though because any noise right now would annoy the fuck out of me. When we arrive I hurry out of the car but Niall grabs me when I try to hurry inside.

"We're not going inside until we talk about this." He says sternly but still not letting go of my wrist.

"That's a good idea Niall. Let's talk about the fact that I didn't wanna go there in the first place because I knew that this was gonna happen. But no you had drag me there anyways." I snap trying to release myself from his grip but he only squeezes tighter.

"Lia baby I didn't know that that would happen. I'm sorry but I don't understand why you were so scared to tell them such important things. I mean no one even told them about what happened with Drew." Ugh even when I'm supposed to be mad at him, he's still so sweet to me.

"It doesn't matter Niall. I didn't wanna go so you should've just listened and brought me home in the first place!" I finally get away from him and stalk into my flat, attempting to slam the door behind me but he has his foot in the door before it can close. I try to go into my room alone but the same thing happens. "What Niall?!"

"Lia..... what's wrong with you princess?" Niall steps towards me but I hold my hand out in front of me signaling him to just stop.

"What's wrong at the moment is you and I need you to leave before I end up saying something that I know I don't mean"

"Baby I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you but I don't wanna leave. I mean what if-"

"Niall please.... just go I'll call you when I calm down"

"So you want me to leave... the flat?" I nod and he does as well. Before I think he's gone I feel his lips against my forehead. "I'll be back princess. I love you and the baby. Be careful while I'm gone" He leaves the house and as soon as I hear the front door slam I break down in tears.
