The party was packed. I have no idea where Marie and Michael went. They supposedly had something "come up". Yeah right. More like setup. They've been trying to get me to date again. Marie is my best friend, but sometimes she gets carried away with my love life. I went to look for them, but they certainly didn't want to be found, or at least, not yet.
I walked over to the bar and asked for a lemonade. The bartender looked at me and winked and said, "Sure thing, sweet pea!" Ew. As if I'd hook up with a 23 year old with no life. Don't get me wrong. He's cute, but too much of a bum.
I have high standards although I'm a low quality girl. I have no idea how that happens either.
Next thing I knew, Marie and Michael waltzed up with an extremely hot guy. "Blaine, meet the handsome Luke. Luke, meet the lovely Blaine." We introduced ourselves and all of a sudden, Marie and Mikey had a "thing" to attend. Whatever.
"Did we just get set up and then abandoned?" Luke asked. "Like two purebred puppies on the black market," I said flatly.
It's going to be a weird night.
