Her head was pounding.
Jennie barely slept these past few days due to her finishing off her final projects given to her by several professors, all at once may I add. She mentally cursed at her teachers for stressing her out when it's literally almost the end of the semester.
Thinking about the nurse from the hospital didn't even help at all.
But with the situation now, she couldn't bring herself to care about the break or mysterious nurse at all. Her focus was all on the pain in her head. She couldn't even look around the flower shop she worked in to check on the plants— she was too dizzy to move.
Her head hung low, eyes shut tight with her hands gripping onto their wooden counter— her already pale knuckles turning abnormally white.
Jennie was too busy trying to at least ease the pain that she didn't notice the door opening from upfront, but the small bell ringing from the sudden contact of the glass just added to her suffering, her breathing unusually becoming heavy.
"There's a customer?!" Her workmate exclaimed. Jennie ignored her overreacting statement as she held tighter onto the counter.
Jennie could hear the faint voices of Lea and the customer talking about the types of flowers for specific occasions, which didn't really bother her.
Not until Jimin, the customer who had his eyes on Jennie through the glass doors from outside, finally grew the balls to approach her— causing the woman to widen her eyes, not daring to look up.
"Jennie, hey." Jimin's unusual husky voice boomed through her head, causing her to let out a soft groan, her fingers instantly finding it's way to her scalp, digging into the flesh.
He mentally chuckled at the adorable sight. Wait, that came out wrong.
The small woman finally looked up, her pale face on display. Jimin's eyes scanned across her features— her eyes were dark with heavy bags under them, obviously tired.
"How did you know I work here?" She couldn't help but ask, her small eyes still wide. It felt weird to see her nurse in public, let alone places where his patient works. She wasn't used to seeing him in anything other than scrubs, though she liked this.
Jimin stood from across the counter, his hand in the pocket of his black ripped jeans, a white shirt neatly tucked and a plaid flannel draped on his shoulders.
He looked beautiful, Jennie wondered.
"Thank you." The raven haired boy chuckled. She's still the same.
Jennie blushed furiously when she realized she just said her thoughts out loud. It sounded weird, as if she was checking him out. Well, I really am.
"But to answer your question, I didn't know you work here. I was looking for something to get a friend on their special day."
Jennie wanted the ground to eat her up already, her pale face all gone since she was as red as a tomato. I just keep embarrassing myself infront of the guy I like, don't I? How great.
She grabbed the bouquet placed infront of her, casually checking the plant in a weak attempt to hide the furiously spreading blush on her face, taking her precious time.
"Actually, I've been wanting to ask you this..." The boy trailed, bending down and placing his chin on the palm of his hand so he was face to face with Jennie.
She didn't answer, impatiently waiting for what he was about to say.
"Do you, maybe, want to head out some other time? Friendly date, yeah?"
Jennie restrained herself to answer immediately, even if she badly wanted to do so. Instead, she raised an eyebrow and gave off a questioning look— hoping that her eyes didn't show off how much she anticipated his sudden request.
Jimin shrugged, a smile appearing on his face as his head tilted downwards then back up, his narrow eyes shining with amusement.
"Because I want you, Jennie. So bad."
