A friend?

It was four twenty three pm and I was on my way to the nearest coffee shop. I was aware that it was late. I was going this late purposely for two reasons. One being: I had been stressed out lately and simply wanted a coffee. Two being: I doubt many people would be getting coffee this late. Meaning, I wouldn't have to talk to very many people.

While walking to the coffee shop I thought over the last two weeks. I'd been going to an art school. I've always wanted to do so, so its a big deal. Except, I didn't really know I'd have to take a bunch of classes in areas I didn't quite understand. As for my uncle... We don't actually talk much. He usually isnt even at the house, he said it was something to do with work, and doesn't come back 'till it's real late.

As I walked into the building the bell rung, so if I were to attempt robbing the place they'd know I came in. I looked around to see what type of situation I'd be in, and like I thought there wasn't anybody in there. With the Exception of a employees of course.

I walked up to the person running the counter. She had a neat looking septum peircing and unnatural colored eyes, which i assumed were contacts. She seemed tired or bored, either one would describe the look she gave.

"Hi, what can I get for you today, sir?" She asked in a fake tone. I thought about it as if it were the world's hardest question, though I already knew what I wanted. "Uh hi, uh, just a venti iced cinnamon latte, please" I said slowly as I kept avoiding eye contact. Im not very good with people. Okay?

"Can I get a name for that order?" She asked in a polite, but required way. Considering its her job I wouldn't blame her. "oh uh, im uh, im Dylan." I said finally after stuttering over my own name.

She told another employee, who I had assumed to be the barista, what I ordered. While the other person began to make the coffee, the girl i first saw started to conversate with me. I know knew her name was Destiny and by the multiple references she made I knew part of her taste in music.

For a few minutes I didn't really say  much, but towards the end i decided I'd make a reference as well. "You know, you're a pretty family freindly alternative person," I said as chuckled to myself. And with that she had screamed, "YOU WATCH CRANKTHATFRANK TOO?!" I said yeah, then decided it was probably time to go. I gave her my number and started heading to the house.
