First SU one shot! So exciting!

You walked along the beach. The rain was pouring down heavily, making your (h/c) hair and your clothes wet and damp. They stuck to your body, making it uncomfortable to move. But you did not mind, this was better than home right now.
Your parents were arguing harshly on whether or not to send you to a school abroad. Their yells were loud enough to distract you from pretty much everything you tried to do. So you put on a hoodie and snuck past them and out of the house. Soon after that it started raining, leading you to walking aimlessly on the beach, in the rain.

- Why are they even arguing about that? I want to stay in Beach City anyway.- You muttered to yourself while looking at your feet as you walked.

Your thoughts consumed you, bragging about what will happen if you leave. With your thoughts echoing through your head, you stomped forward on your journey to nowhere. With the thoughts swirling and clouding your head and the rain blurring everything, you failed to see a big, pink blur running toward you at full speed.
You didn't notice it until it jumped on you, making you fall on your back with a yelp. You looked up to see a pair of eyes looking up at you. It was a lion. A PINK lion. He rested on your legs, his front paws on your torso. After the first wave of shock passed, a second one hit you like a train. You started a panic on the inside. There was a pink lion laying on top of you! You started squirming under the animal, only digging yourself into the wet sand more. As you struggled to break free before your bones get crashed, the lion seemed unfazed by your weird noises and moves.

- Lion, no!!- Somebody yelled.

A boy with black curly hair, tan skin, dark eyes, reddish pink shirt with a star on it and matching flip flops ran into the view. He was holding something above his head, protecting himself from the rain. Upon taking a closer look it seemed to be a pink shield with a rose like symbol on it that emitted some kind of light.
The boy ran to the lion and pushed him off you while yelling "Off!! Off Lion, off!". After the animal finally got off you, you dramatically gasped for air. The black haired boy made his shield bigger as to shield you from the rain as well, even if you were already soaking wet. He helped you up while rambling out apologies. You waved it off, confusion about the animal still evident on your face. You haven't even noticed the boy was talking to you as you stared at the pink lion, wondering about the unusual pigment of his fur.

- Why are you in the rain anyway?- that question made it to your brain.

- My parents were arguing so i left. It's a pretty rough day.- You said with a shrug of your shoulders.

- That's awful! Oh! I'm Steven by the way.

- (Y/n).

You stood in the rain with Steven for a while and talked about stuff. At some point he asked if you wanted to come to his house and hang out. With the thought of your parents arguing back at home, you agreed. Steven seemed like such a nice guy after all.
After you for to his house, he set you down on the couch and declared he'll make a super duper special meal to cheer you up. Even if you two barely knew each other, you felt a very strong connection. Who wouldn't like this cinnamon roll?
While Steven was preparing the amazing meal, Lion jumped onto the couch next to you and cuddled up to you like a kitten. He started purring as soon as you started petting his head.
After half an hour or so Steven came back with a big plate.

- Voila!- he said with a smile with showing off his creation.

Turns out it was homemade (f/p) (fave pizza) and cookies and milk for the dessert. You grinned like a little kid. Was Steven what people call a blessing? He definitely felt like it.

- I didn't know what you like so I went for a feeling!- he proclaimed with a sheepish smile.

- It's my favorite! Thank you Steven!- you beamed.

He smiled at you with one of his brightest smiles that could brighten up a dark room. He sat next to you on the couch. With that your feast began.
You and Steven had a wonderful time, you ate the pizza and cookies, played games, watched Crying Breakfast Friends and told each other stories. Of course, his were much more interesting. You couldn't get enough of his voice and the adventures he and the Crystal Gems had.
Hours passed by before you knew it. You texted your mom saying you'd be staying at a friend's house. Because there was no denying it, Steven and you were friends.
At the end of the day, the rain was still pouring. Steven and you were snuggled up in a big blanket, Lion curled around you. The rain drummed against the window gently, creating a soft tune while you two were sleepily watching a movie. You leaned against Lion more, cuddling to Steven's side as he cuddled to you.

- Thank you, Steven..- you whispered before drifting off to slumber.

A bad day can be good in the end, huh?
