She was just so gorgeous and adorable and it made your insides go KYAA. You couldn't help but blush whenever you thought of her or saw her. You couldn't even contain your blush while talking to her. It wae a tough battle, fighting off your feelings like that.

- What's the worst that can happen, right?- You reassured yourself.

You nodded to yourself while keeping up the cheery pace.

- But what if she rejects me?- sudden realization hit you, making you stop dead in your tracks.

The thought of Lapis rejecting you and disappearing from your life forever scared you to the core. You treasured her so much it seemed, no, it was terrifying to think of that. A shiver ran down your spine.

- No, i can't chicken out now!- you yelled to yourself.

You nodded to yourself and resumed your walk. All that time you tried to keep all the negative words out of your head. Time seemed to pass by incredibly fast and soon you arrived at the barn. First you bumped into Peridot, quickly apologizing.

- Here to finally confess your human feelings to Lapis?- she asked with a smirk.

- W-what?! Is i-it that obvious??- you asked with a stutter.

- Pfft, of course! Your face is as red as Steven's shirt, you're fidgeting as if you were standing in front of the Diamonds and your skin is producing that smelly liquid.- the green space dorito listed.

You awkwardly stood there as Peridot walked away.
There still was time to go jump into a pond or something and disappear forever.

"That's a great idea!" You thought to yourself while turning on your heel.

- (Y/n)?- Lapis' voice made it's way to your ears.

You stopped dead in your tracks, a lump forming in your throat. You awkwardly turned around and smiled at the gem. She was looking as stunning as ever. Her pretty, blue hair shined in the sun, her gorgeous, dark blue eyes twinkling with excitement to see you. You gulped down the lump in your throat as a cheerful smile etched onto your face, a playful blush stretching on your cheeks.

- W-Why hello!- you chirped, desperately trying to keep your voice from breaking, which you failed anyway.

- I'm so happy to see you, (Y/n)!- Lapis said with a timid grin forming on her face- I found some new leaves i wanted to show you!

Without any warning she grabbed your hand and pulled you with her into the barn. You barely kept your balance, your legs stumbling upon each other as you tried to keep up with her fast pace. Lapis suddenly came to a halt, making you almost crash into her back. She let go of your hand and grabbed a few leaves. Each had slightly different colors and shapes but if they were laying on the ground, no one would even think twice of them. With a kind smile you complimented Lapis' new additions to her leaf collection, making her deep blue eyes sparkle with excitement and glee. Oh how much you loved that look.
After a while of casual chit chat with Lapis you remembered what you came here for in the first place. Your confession. With a deep breath you stood in front of her, gathering all your confidence.

- Lapis! I wanted to say something!

- What is it, (Y/n)?

There's that face again. Lapis titled her head to the side slightly, her eyes showing curiosity and interest of what you might say. The confidence you have gathered popped like a bubble with that one expression.

- Uhh, wanna go for a walk?- you quickly asked.

You mentally face palmed, cursing yourself for being such a coward. Lapis agreed to go on a walk.

"Not everything is lost!" You thought to yourself with a confident smile.

After a while of walking, you and Lapis stumbled upon a patch of flowers. You knelt down and picked one up, using your knowledge on flowers to get the meaning of that flower in particular. It was a patch of blue violets, beautiful and delicate flowers with purple petals. It must've been your lucky day because there flowers represent romantic affection and love.

- Why are you starting at those flowers like that??- Lapis asked with a confused look over her face.

Without answering her, you picked the flowers and made a flower crown from them. You stood up and gently placed it on Lapis' head.

- Blue violets, these flowers, represent love and romantic feelings. Im giving you a flower crown made of these because my love for you is strong and big.

A dark blue blush spread across the blue gem's cheeks. She smiled and pecked your lips, surprising you to the core.

- I thought you'll never confess.
