I flipped the 325th page in my book, the warm atmosphere wrapping me in a blanket. This library was my happy place. This was left in my parents' will before they pasted. It was a small library in the streets of New York City. Some people came in to look around from time to time, but not everyday.
The scent of the candles made me smile. I really like things that are old-fashioned. It's just me.I kept reading til' I set the book down and looked out the window to my right. When I looked out the window I saw the little flower shop directly next to my library. That little flower shop was famous for its lavender. I haven't went in there, but I'm planning on it. My gaze was focused on the shop's interior, it was an explosion of pastel colors such as red, purple, pink, yellow, and blue. I noticed that their was a worker in there. Now, let me just say something,
Damn, this worker was cute.
Wait— I'm not supposed to have those thoughts right? It's the 21st century tho, so it's fine, I think. I've never had feelings for anyone, except this man, and maybe a girl in 2nd grade. This man was covered with dirt and deep purple lavender petals. It was splattered all over his pastel green sweater and his light gray jeans. His rounded yellow-tinted glasses shine in the light. His tan skin glowing.
Sup guys, gals, genderfluids, and non-binary pals;
I'm gay now.
I just couldn't help it. He's just so beautiful and adorable, with his small frame— yeah I should probably stop, I probably look like a creep. But I have this non-stop feeling about just gazing at him. Alas, I turned away from the right window, feeling my cheeks heat up. I observed my little library. It wasn't the neatest, yet it wasn't filthy.
(Here's a quick picture of it;)
It's only one floor, with a little bathroom. I think it looks nice. I decided to continue reading my book, considering I was almost done with it.
—Time Skip—
For the rest of the day, no one came in, which was fine, considering I got to read more. It was dark out, so that means that the city would light up and glow.
I love when it does that. I decide that it's time to close up. I grab my keys off of the desk, grab my belongings and head out for the night. I look at the flower shop one last time, I need to go in there sometime soon.I'll do it tomorrow.
