"Hey, how did my blade not kill that man?" Eric said entering the manor still confused about the event that happened. Layla just sat on the couch in her room thinking before speaking her thought.

"It didn't kill the man for your blade only kills the corrupted part of the man," Layla said with sadness in her voice.

"So what's the reason behind not being able to take down the corrupted? I mean aren't you the all-powerful Ace?" Eric questioned with wonders flashing through his eyes.

"Oh, that was to finish your training. You can now fight without my help," Layla said looking at Eric with a smile. She then pulled out a card that was different from the others. This card had no letter or number; it only had a star instead of a heart, spade, clover, or a diamond in the two corners. Layla then tapped one of the stars. Instantly the card turned into a phone that was in a star phone case. She turned the phone off that instantly turned it back into a card again.

"What's the matter? You seem like you are expecting something," Eric asked worriedly. He then walked to the couch and sat next to Layla.

"It's nothing. Anyway, I need to introduce you to everyone in the manor. Come on I even made you a welcoming party," Layla said trying to get Eric onto a different topic.

"Cool. Then what are we doing sitting here," Eric said excitedly. He then pulled Layla up from the couch and pulled her towards the card on the floor. "Hey if you need someone to talk to about things I'm always here," Eric said blushing a light pink of embarrassment. Layla soon too had a slight blush on her cheeks. Then with a swift movement, the two were gone from the room.

Finally entering the dining hall, Eric and Layla saw many people chatting to one another. As soon Layla took one step all eyes were on the pair. Nikki who didn't believe what she was seeing walked up to Layla to ask some questions but was stopped.

"Now I know this is a little bit alarming, but there is a new a member will be joining us in the manor. Eric," Layla said gesturing towards Eric.

"Hi, I'm Eric. I'm glad to meet you all," Eric said looking around.

"What's the meaning of this Layla? Why didn't you tell me that someone new was joining?" Nikki asked looking Eric up and down.

"Nikki, things had come up suddenly so I couldn't tell you. Please forgive me," Layla explained to Nikki who still looked Eric up and down.

"Wait a minute aren't you the president?" Nikki asked Eric forgetting what Layla said.

"Yes?" Erick replied wondering why she would ask.

"That's great for Layla li...OW!" Nikki started before something hit her head. Looking at the floor she found a card by her feet. "What was that for?"

"Don't blabber things that are useless. Now everyone goes back to your room. I'll see you at dinner." Layla ordered. Everyone left the room except for Nikki who has questions running through her head. As she was about to speak Vivian came back into the room and pulled Nikki by the ear out the room.

"Hahaha," both Layla and Eric laughed at the sight they witnessed. They had laughed till their chest aches from the lack of air.

"Hey... Layla... I need to... get something... back at my house. Want to come?" Eric asked trying to gain air into his lungs.

"Sure," Layla said. She was then dragged by Eric out the door.
