I dedicated this chapter to Sweetpeas because even though she does not know me, I'm still a big fan of hers and she wrote my favorite book on wattpad. Her book, "Scottish Beauty" is probably the reason I started writing this book. =P

Veneda's POV

The room was a large square. Their was a table in the middle with a map of all the land; well at least all the land they knew about. At some places their were things like, ' Thought to be entrance to land of the dwarfs,' and such. Some were wrong but I would not be telling them that. In the room were six gentlemen and the king. They were all huddled over the map pointing and arguing.

"They must be coming from this direction since those are the villages that were attacked," said one of the men pointing at what seems to be Shafiner. Shafiner was a forest that not many humans would venture in. Goblins love to play pranks on any that do but once they're done, they don't tend to let that person leave and the person does not really want to move. It's name mean 'death wish' in the goblin language which I have no doubt they had fun coming up with.

"We can not send men to a place that we have no knowledge of!" said another one of the men. This one was different then the others. He had clothing of a normal man that would be walking the city while the others were in high class clothing.

"We can not wait for them to come to us and slaughter our families either!"

Lucas cleared his throat and all looked up.

"Hello Veneda," said the king.

Veneda's POV after hearing the whole story

"What if we send scouts off to the edge of the forest to watch for any interaction?"

"Their is no point," I said. All looked up from the map to me.

"Please explain, Veneda," said the king.

"These creatures might be hiding in the forest, but I doubt any scouts would see them. You told me the survivors said the creatures just appeared. It sounds as though they are not one easily seen and I may also conclude they are not easily spied on either. They also said they look as if they are from the goblin race and goblins are not stupid. They would not just prance around for a scout to see. Would you tell me the whole description of the creatures?" The man in the city clothing stepped up.

"I was one of the survivors. They were black creatures covered in strands of black cloth. They had leather like skin and heads the shape of a goblin. They looked just like a one except their eyes were different and the way they moved. They had eyes like deep wholes that you could look into forever and never see the end. I am not sure how to explain their movement. I'm not even sure if I was just seeing things out of fear but it seemed as if their was...this kind of...."

" Mist following them," I finished for him. Everyone looked at me. I was just staring at the map, shaking.

"You know of these creatures?" the king ask. It took me a moment to get the next words out and even then, it was barley a whisper.

"They are called Dakre. They are not just a type of goblin but the original goblin. These creatures are not like their siblings who mess with other creatures for the fun of it but end up starving them death on accident while playing with them. These creatures are born from demons themselves. They....... enjoy torturing and killing. Their game is one of who can get the loudest screams out of their prey." By now my legs were shaking and my vision was clouding. The prince grabbed a chair from the side of the room and set me down into it before I fell over.
