Part 4: Persephone (263 words)

Humans were foolish. They like their deities- pure good or pure evil. Now and then I commit villainous acts to preserve the Heroic Image of my brothers. The abduction of Persephone, daughter of Agriculture God, Demeter was a calculative move.
When she was plucking flowers, I ripped the land beneath and dragged her to Hell.

Zeus and Helios were co-conspirators. Helios was to inform Demeter about abduction only when asked. But Zeus did not want to fight me. I guessed that much and the famine lasted for decades. 

Persephone was my niece. I offered her bed, food, clothes. She appreciated my vision for Underworld. She was disgusted with how I punished my subjects, many Gods were. The princess was a skilled innovator because of which, my plans for Underworld started sooner.

We danced to celebrate. It was the first time I noticed her silky skin, her deep eyes, and finally, I kissed her smooth lips. We fell in love, but... I told her the reason for abduction. Do I have to return her? With her delicate hand, she touched my face.

Next part was according to her plan. Convincing her parents and not in the Rom-Com style.

It is winter on Earth, I immediately purchase a bouquet full of flowers she picked that day. I stood in front of Entrance of Hell, eagerly waiting for my beautiful wife. Even a month with her is enough to make this Hell feel like heaven.

I kneel down and offer my hand, "Shall we?"

She softly touches my hands and says, "We shall, Hades, my love!"
