FORENOTE - soooo as you all know i have OBVIOUSLY changed the plotline of the show already, but i am also taking it upon myself to really make things the way i want to. so some stuff might happen that might have been impossible in the show(s) but just know that i am making them possible! they might even just be possible for a specific character! anyway, enjoy!

. . .
My vision fogs over, turning black and then slowly regaining my vision of the lake, like I've blacked out or gotten whiplash from standing too fast after waking from an afternoon nap. I gasp, realizing what the elder has shown me. She has shown me her memory of the past. And Niklaus is the one who has done this to her. To them. To their home.
"Intelligent girl." The elder hums from my left, rocking back slightly before stilling once again. My throat closes up, feeling raw. Images of Niklaus' unforgiving and malicious eyes burn through my mind, scorching their everlasting engravel.
I duck my face into my hands, tears coating them like warm blankets. My shoulders shake with sobs, my nose burning and my throat feeling as if sandpaper has been swallowed and gotten stuck in my esophagus.
"Oh, dear child, do not weep. That was of centuries ago, your sweet boy has changed since then. Since you. He is not the same man as he was all those years ago. Believe it or not, since he met you he has grown more forgiving. I think that he sees you everytime he is about to slaughter another. He is decreased from it generously."
I cry more. How could I love such a man? One that has murdered thousands? One that has probably started a war. How could my feelings for him not falter? What is the matter with me? Could I not have any self control?
"What is your name, foreign one?" She hums again, and I finally recognize her voice as gritty yet smooth, like lace on a wooden log.
I sniffle, reigning in my emotions. I came here for a reason, and I must deal with that first. Then I can figure out what to do with the whole Niklaus situation. "Ambrosia Neddlestone, ma'am."
"And what are you, precisely?"
I gulp, "I am half wolf, half witch."
She finally turns her head to look at me, and I gasp because as she is looking me straight in the eyes, I see that her eyes are a foggy gray. She is blind. I stare at her, wondering how she is able to look at me so accurately.
I let my eyes trail down to the other features in her face, all of them being slightly wrinkly and gray, she is still beautiful. Though the upper part of her face is scarred in what looks to be a burn wound, the flesh healed but warped.
"My, what an extraordinary species. Not once in my thousands of decades have I come across someone as rare as you."
I blush slightly, my previous thoughts vanishing. Well I hate to break it to you lady, but I am not as special as you think. Not only have I never been given the privilege to learn any useful magic, I am now somehow some sort of siphoner, whatever the hell that is.
"Please," she smiles, "come see me again. I cannot study you at the moment but I would love to when I have the chance."
