iii. oh really, baby wolf?
. . .
It was weird thinking about what I was. A witch without powers? A wolf that could shift whenever she pleased? I definitely had the scars to prove it.
A hard knock interrupts my thoughts, again. I let out a sigh before mumbling something incoherent. The person behind the door opens it regardless, having assumed I meant they could come in.
Of course, the devil walks in. He smirks at me before walking toward me and holding out his hand. I take it without hesitation, an odd action for me. He pulls me up swiftly, using his vampire speed and strength.
Our faces are close, and his breath his hot on mine again. He smirks again, before licking his lips and leaning in, toward my ear this time. I feel his shallow breath on my skin before he speaks.
"Oh, baby wolf, you tested my patience earlier. And if it weren't for the fact that you aren't mine to punish, you'd be over my knee."
I shudder at his 'threat', if you could even call it that. He recomposes himself fast before taking my hand and dragging me out of the room I'm staying in. I clear my throat before playfully groaning, digging my heels into the ground ineffectively.
"Niklaus," I whine, watching his shoulders tense at the mention of his name, "let go!" I drag out the last syllable and continue to try and prevent my movement.
"Baby wolf, stop."
I gulp before walking normally, letting his hand consume mine as he leads me down the hall and down the steps of his giant house. We soon end up in a large room with couches, similar to the one we were in before.
"Ah yes, the party has finally arrived." Elijah jokes, throwing me off guard for a second or two. I didn't deem him the type to joke around.
"Why am I here? I didn't even want to stay in this stinky town for more than a few hours." I complain, huffing as I plop onto a free couch and cross my arms.
"You're not a common hybrid. Actually, hybrids themselves are rare. Klaus is the first of his kind. Which makes you special." Rebekah finally speaks, making me almost thank her for being straight forward with me, unlike her brothers.
I glance at Hayley, who has her arms crossed over her baby bump and has a little bandage over the bridge of her nose. Poor thing, didn't mean to punch a pregnant lady.
I start to accidentally laugh. Actually thinking about it. Everyone stares at me like I've got three heads so I decide it's time I should let them in on my joke.
"I-" I gasp for air before continuing, starting to cry from laughing so hard, "I punched a pregnant lady!" I howl after that, getting another burst of laughter.
Klaus starts to chuckle a bit and Elijah smiles, but Rebekah lets out a deep laugh. I wheeze out, "I'm going straight to hell!"
When I calm down, Rebekah has returned with two wine glasses, handing one to me while keeping the other to herself. Hayley looks at me and then to Rebekah, ignoring our entire fiasco about punching her.
"Where's mine?" She whines, looking offended. I nearly snort on my wine from her pathetic expression.
"You're pregnant." I remind her, licking the spare wine off of my lips.
