"Do you, Michael Shinoda, take Chester Bennington as your loving husband?" Billie asked as he looked over at the half-Asian.
"I do." Mike grinned, trying not to let tears slip from his eyes as he looked over at the handsome man in front of him.
"And do you, Chester Bennington, take Michael Shinoda as your loving husband?"
"Yes, I do." Chester said slightly too fast, tears also threatening to fall. He couldn't even look at Mike because he knew he'd lose it. Neither of the two men thought any of this would be happening, and they couldn't have been more thrilled.
"Then, by the power invested to me, as Earth's God sent angel," He mumbled the last part then cleared his throat to continue. Chester and Mike laughed from it and shook their heads. Billie was full of himself, but that was something they dealt with. "I now pronounce you both married! You may now kiss the groom!" Billie announced with a smile on his face as he stepped back and looked at the two men who happily connected with each other.
It was July thirtieth, two thousand fourteen. Chester had been back for four months now and him and Mike decided that today, they were finally getting married. It was something that they wanted to do for some time now, and what better time to do than in the middle of summer?
Everyone they were close to had been invited to the wedding and all of them had showed up, making it a great time. Billie even had time to join in, which was very surprising since the guy was always busy with either a tour or saving someone from dying, and the fact that he was the one doing the ceremony and planning the reception helped Chester and Mike a whole lot, since they didn't have anyone else to do it and they didn't know the first thing about planning it.
The two pulled away from their kiss and held each other closely, not paying attention to the cries and cheering from their friends behind them.
"I can't believe they actually did it." Joe sobbed dramatically while wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his tuxedo.
"They're gonna be so happy together." Rob sighed in gratefulness.
"And you know what's gonna happen tonight, and this time they'll be connect as husbands." Dave brought up as he wiped tears from his face, getting a silent judge from Brad and killing the mood some, but not too much that it ruined the wedding.
Mike and Chester had pulled away from their embrace and looked out into the crowd. "We did it, baby." Mike whispered into Chester's ear. Chester couldn't say anything in response. He was so overwhelmed with emotions at the moment that if he spoke, his voice would probably crack.
"Hey, guys." Billie cut into their little moment. "Sorry for interrupting, but we need to get going. This place's rentage value goes up the longer we stay, and I might have a lot of money, but not that much, and God's not gonna give me any. Come on! Let's go cut the cake!" Billie pushed them along and headed them towards the building where everything was set up for food. Everyone followed the three men.
Once inside the gold floor and silver walled building, Billie pushed the two newly weds behind the table and handed Mike the knife for the cake and place Chester's opposite hand on top of Mike's. He stepped back then said, "Go on. Cut it. These guys can have dinner afterwards or eat cake... Whatever. I don't care."
Their minds were in kind of a daze from all of that happening very quickly. Billie was really in a rush to get out of here, was he? Must being running short on money again. Mike was the first to recovered from the daze and moved his and Chester's hand towards the cake, holding the knife in a death grip. Chester gripped onto his hand and held him close, a smile slowly forming on his face. Everyone was waiting patiently for them, their phones out taken pictures and videos to post later.
