Pride born mourning full birthday
Forgiveness comes in many forms
You gave birth to me and out of all people
To be my mother and my father

Airplanes flying high dreaming of adventuring somewhere new
High in the clouds we're searching for you
Looking for lost loved ones
Who cared for us how you care for us
Ships setting sail
Making a home at port
And a life at sea
Oceans above and clouds below
Upside down and right side up
Phantom visitors on a lost voyage
Miles of asphalt laid ahead
Forest's between the road and the sea
Miles undone and tamed anew
Our harbor and home
The caves and rivers
Adventure underneath
Empathize ostracize
Blood isn't thicker than water
But you had us believe so
Rightfully even
Second chances come in all forms
Thank you for believing in second chances
I wouldn't have been born otherwise
Thank you for believing in me even when I fail
Thank you for beating disease so we can have our mother longer
Rain will wash away the sins of yesterday
The sins of the father the mother and all others
Waterfalls will carry us to new heights
Mountains will bring us to deeper ravines
The water may boil and evaporate
But the rain will always wash away the pain of yesterday
The water will wash it all away
And someday
I'll pay you back
In beaches and sand
Planes and ships
I'll force a miracle to repay your belief in second chances
You'll find more places to make homes
In the waterfalls and caves around the world
Cascade down to your dreams
I promise I'll make it happen
Night sky planes fly high
And never touch the ground
Never parting the clouds
Today we're thankful for you
Every day we're grateful for you
