{Hey guys, so sorry that this chapter was short, but I had some packing and other stuff to do. I hoped you enjoy this chapter. Don't forget to tell your friends, family, or whomever about this book because I would be so grateful. Anywho, the song is called Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilot.}
"Mommy there's a tall man at the door!" Tasha ran to the door. "Hi I'm your new neighbor and may I come in please," Devin asked. "Yes."
Devin walked into the house and looked around. It was gorgeous. Tasha had good taste in stuff that looks expensive but is cheap. She had expensive stuff but a lot were cheap.
"Oh, my, fuck, is that you Devin?" Tasha asked. "T?" Devin asked back "Alice honey go to your room." "But you said that today will be my day, and I could do whatever I want as long as it's safe and responsible. Sooooo, I say that we should get ice cream and bring this man along with us." Alice protested.
"Fine. Which one do you want to go to?" "Karaoke Ice!" "Alright, go and change as I talk to this man" "Okie Dokie!" Alice ran to her room.
"So why did you adopt a kid?" "My friend died six years ago, that's her child, on the will it said for me to adopt her and yeah." "That explains a lot why she's white and you're black, not in a racist way."
"Devin, why are you here? You are absolutely the last shit I need in my life right now." "Well I'm not here for you and I came here because of basketball. Why would I want to see you, Alison said you wanted to move on and old friends are not going to help. Which is weird because you were literally friends with her."
"No, I never said that. I thought you didn't want to talk to me because I annoyed you or something." They were standing there awkwardly till Alice came running down in a white shirt with a fluffy rainbow skirt.
"Mr. Moore, I've seen you on TV, and I think that you're awesome. I also think that it's cool that you want to spend time with me and my mom. Well I mean look at me I'm cute and look at my mom she's gorgeous."
Devin started at Tasha with a shock expression, while Tasha started at Alice with a 'run before I kill you' look. And Alice was just smiling at Devin. She was a different child. To her schoolmate, she is tuff and not afraid of anything. But to other people she likes as a friend or family, she is a sweet, soft, child.
Devin had some unpacking to do so he didn't go with them. You know that weird feeling when you see an old friend, teacher, or someone and you're like shit what do I say to them? Well, that is what was happening.
