Tasha got home restless and tired. But, there was a little urge that was pushing her to go out to dinner with Devin. Maybe yes, maybe no, but she wanted to go.
It was six now and Tasha was getting ready. She took a quick shower and got dressed. She was wearing a white dress with heels. And that's all, she wanted to go simple. But, fixing her hair and makeup is a must. She touched up her everyday makeup which consisted only mascara, a bit of concealer, eyeliner, and a tinted lip balm. With fixing her hair into bouncy curls. Tasha only uses heat on her about every two months or more.
Devin was ready and nervous. He was pacing back and forth in his bedroom. Thoughts running through his head. Then, he saw her through his window getting ready. But for some reason, he calms down and feels normal around her.
Devin was wearing a white polo shirt and black jeans. He checked the time on his watch, which you guess, a gold Rolex, and it was already 6:30. He quickly put his shoes on and rushed to Tasha's house.
He knocked on the door but no one opened it. Then he knocked a second time, "Hey, sorry I was watching some Netflix. I'm almost done, you can come inside if you would like." Tasha answered.
He walked inside and sat on the couch in the living room. "Watcha watching?" Devin asked. "Oh, I was watching some shows I have to catch up on," Tasha answered. "Like what?" "Um, I was watching Riverdale and Supergirl."
"Mommy why do I have to go to the Matthews, I want to go with you," Alice whined. "Because I said so, and change that attitude of yours," Tasha stated.
"Hey Bella, it's okay over the weekend I'm going to take you on a trip with me if that is fine with your mommy. It's just going to be the two of us." Devin said in a sweet calming voice. Alice's eyes lightened up with joy.
"Ok, but my name isn't Bella you know?" Alice replied. "I know, but it's Italian for beautiful."
Tasha rushed went upstairs to grab her purse.
She quickly went downstairs and already saw Alice leaving with Riley, the daughter of the Matthews. "Oh hello, Mrs. Brookes, it's alright I already have all the emergency needs and everything from this kind man." Riley sang. "Alright have a nice time Riley, bye A!" Tasha stated.
They left meanwhile, Devin and Tasha awkwardly stared at each other. She broke the awkward silence asking, "You know you didn't have to give your emergency contact right?" "Well, like yeah but you were already busy and all so... yeah," he answered.
They left into Devin's car and went straight to the restaurant. "Fancy much," Tasha mumbled under her breath. "Mr. Moore, great seeing you here tonight again at Dine'n Grine. How may we assist you this lovely night tonight?" The kind man at the podium near the entrance greeted.
Looking around, there were only long tables for 5 to 10 people. Chandeliers were hung every few feet on the ceiling to brighten up the room. Waiters and waitresses roamed the restaurant with food, checks, etc. etc. It was one of those cliche kinds of restaurants with a red and black theme.
"Table for two please," Devin replied. "But there are literally no tables for two, three, or four in this freakin restaurant. What the hell?" Was all Tasha thought.
"Right this way sir." The gentleman said.He led the way to a staircase that went up. It was like Starbucks but the main color was blue. There were longe couches and chairs with many outlets on the wall. Tables with stools, floor tiles with a diamond pattern, and more. It was a nice chill place to hang out at.
Tasha nuged Devin with her elbow while whispering, "If you had told me that the restaurant looked like this, I would have dressed more casual."
"Nah... you look great." They talked for 2 hours just catching up on everything. Devin drove Tasha home waiting at her front door, "Do you want to come in?" Tasha shyly asked.
{Hey Guys, I know I said I would be posting Friday and it's literally Wednesday. So so sorry, I just have been really busy dealing with back to school, my sister being in surgery, etc., etc. I had to leave it with a semi-cliffhanger because I know a lot of people were waiting for another chapter and all. The song is called Icy Girl by Saweetie. I love the song because it makes me feel like a boss. Ask my friends, I'm always singing it. Don't forget to tell people about this story. Thank you all for the support so far.}
