Her small steps approach me and she takes ahold of my hands. "You're welcome here anytime (Y/N)."

Its been a few months since I've moved in to Ms. Fishbachs home. Mark left the morning after I came back from the hospital, claiming he had "videos to record." However we kept in touch by daily phone calls.
I've been getting around the house and public places with my white cane fairly easily however since I'm still new to the "not seeing" aspect, Ms. Fishbach insisted I had a seeing eye dog.
The four dogs in the house had already been trained to take care of her, however not been trained to take care of me. So, out of the blue, I was awoken to a new dog.
Her fur was soft and she was calm, well calmer then the other four. I immediately took a liking to her.
Mark had insisted I called her Chica over one of our phone calls.
"Chica?"
"Don't ask.." He said, brushing it off. "But it's an adorable name for such an adorable dog!"
So Chica it was.
I had pretty much forgotten about my white cane after that. Having Chica was all I ever needed.
Or I think.
Ms. Fishbach every now and again would ask me if I had remembered anything of my past life, but I never had a new memory.
It still nagged me though.
Who am I..

It was a warm day out and I could feel the sun on my skin as I walked around the city. I familiarized certain places such as the route to the store, pharmacy, and home. I try to pick random shops to learn their route.
I walked into a shop that had a few steps I stumbled over. As I mumbled to myself in embarrassment, I heard heavy thuds approch me and stop.
"Didn't ya read the sign? No dogs allowed." His raspy voice made me uneasy.
"She's a service dog, sir.." Hoping he wouldn't mind.
"SIR?!" The voice shrieked as hands grabbed my collar and lifted me.
Oh no.
"How dare you call me 'sir' when I obviously look like a woman, you-"
"Hey!" Another voice with a small accent interrupt. Small feet ran up to the us and placed his hands on my arm.
"L-look!" He said with no breath as I feel a breeze past my face. "She can't see. She never meant to insult you."
I smiled out of relief. I won't get pummeled after all.
I heard the lady huff, but she let go of my shirt and her footsteps trailed away.
"You okay?" The man asked, placing his hand on my shoulder.
I nod at him in response. "Thank you for helping me out. I'm (Y/n)."
"Seán. But please-" He took my hand and kissed it. "Call me Jack."
