The Boy In My Mirror

Chapter 1

"Do you know how unladylike you are?" A voice of a boy came gently from the window. "If you were a true gentleman you would get up here, escort me on my adventures and all that nonsense my mother goes on with" Alexis said as she perched her self on the flat top of the roof above her room. She was wearing one of her fathers old brown suits and her top hat with her googles on top.

Alexis jones is 17 years old, has light brown eyes and waist long brown hair to match, but no one knew it was long, she always tied it up under her fathers top hat. It had been 2 years since her father had died, she was never told how, but she did know that he had left her and her mother al his businesses and the estate. Her father always was friendly, and he loved all his employees and business partners; but the only thing he never got was a grandchild, with all the business partners their sons all tried to win over the free spirited girl. Only one of those boys stuck around and that is Benjamin, but he wasn't looking for love, he just wanted a friend. Benjamin was different to most boys, he wore his googles on the top of his head, to him it was a fashion statement rather than a necessity. He was skinny and pail, with bleach blond hair and baby blue eyes to sum it up, to some people he would seem handsome.

"Just get up here, the view is beautiful" Alexis said as she looked out at the township. She could see all the houses on the block, even the old one at the end of the street that no one has ever lived in without going insane. The sunset reflected on the ocean below the village and it was perfect, to be up there with the best friend she had ever had, just looking at the town that had grown under there finger tips, a beauty in itself, like a light at the end of a dark tunnel, wonderful and unexpected.

"Fine, fine, I am getting there" Benjamin said as he pulled himself up next to Alexis

"Clouds are so cool, just imagine sitting up there floating all over the place, wouldn't it be magical"

"Alexis, get your head out of the clouds and back under your hat were is belongs"

"But wouldn't it be great? Just imagine what the future holds"

"ALEXIS JONES, GET OF THE ROOF, THERE ARE GUESTS HERE WHO WANT TO SEE YOU. NOW GET DOWN!" Alexis mother yelled from the court yard.

"Not again" Alexis said as the two climbed back in through the bed room window. A black and green knee length dress with a wide skirt and a long train that reached the floor lay on the bed. "Please tell me this is for you" Alexis said looking at Benjamin.
