Alexis didn't put on the dress, instead she and Benjamin walked straight past it and out the door. The two walked down the stairs to the the court yard, where Alexis' mother had moved a table and five chairs out into the middle of the court yard. Around the table sat Alexis' mother on one side of her sat a young looking boy with neat brown hair and eyes to match, an older looking gentle man sat on the other side of her, his white hair blending with the hedges behind him.
Atop the table sat a tea pot that had a slight line of steam coming of the spout. The grass around the table was soft and light in the Breeze. Around the table was spots of hedges that were had deep black roses all over them, they looked so out of place on the white leaves of the hedges, almost like a black and white photo, but was so close it could be touched.
"Are you thinking what I am?" Benjamin asked
"Just try and stop me" Alexis said as she lightly taped Benjamin on the check and started leaping over the knee high hedges and rolling through the soft grass, giggling Benjamin followed her.
The two rolled through the hedges and landed next to the table, standing up and brushing themselves and each other off. There was a rose stuck in Benjamin's hair and leaves stuck to Alexis' cloths.
"Hello, my name is Alexis jones, and you can only call me that, because you are not as cool as Benjamin. Who are you?" Alexis said as she and Benjamin sat down at the table. It was not going well, if Alexis hated anything it was the suitors her mother tried to push on her, she loved being free to have fun.
But this, him, it was not good. Within an hour Alexis had started to drift of into thought when she heard the boy speak.
"She is a wild one, but I will tame her, she will be mine" he said, it hit Alexis like poison. She stood up the smile fading from her face "you will never tame me,can't I will not tell you that you are a fine sir because you are not" she said as she picked up the smoking hot tea pot and dumped it over him, making him wince and wine.
Alexis not saying another word got up and started walking away, Benjamin following be hind her. "Nicely done" he said putting up one hand, Alexis gave him a high five, "why thank you" she said as the two walked back inside towards her bed room.
