Life is Strange: The Enemy Within

Episode 5: Come Together

     The date that Jason had with Max made him more human again, but he felt that it was almost fake and aggravating. Ever since Jason died and came back, he couldn't feel many emotions besides anger, sadness, and emptiness. But, Max changed that. However, Jason had to put that aside as he and the Outlaws were preparing to arrest Mark Jefferson for what he's done to many people, including Kate Marsh and Rachel Amber.

Chapter 21: The Plan

     After hearing the news from Roy and his team, Jason prepared for a fight. It would be a hard fight, as he respected Mark Jefferson once. But, he didn't care. Not anymore. Everyone, as Jason said, was to go to the Junkyard to discuss the plan. When he told Rachel, Max, and Chloe, the three got concerned and angry. Rachel and Chloe volunteered to help fight him. Max, however came up with a smart plan that could put a stop to Jefferson's plans once and for all.
     "I have these powers, so why don't I use them to their advantage? I mean, we could go find where he takes his victims, and we could have me stay there and then when it's time, we spring a trap on him."

   Everyone nods in agreement. Everyone besides Roy.
     "It's too risky," he says with a bitterness that could tear skin. " Jefferson could be onto us, and we don't know it." He looked at Nathan, glaring. Nathan and Warren look back, shocked at Roy's accusations.
     "I'm actually trying to fucking help, Harper! Jefferson is getting goddamn mercenaries to fight us, and you think that having Max take him out in the past is a risk?!" Nathan shouts.
     He gets up, and advanced towards Roy, but Jason steps in between them.
     "Enough! We can't afford infighting right now!" Jason shouts. Max stands up behind Jason, alongside Warren, Chloe, and Rachel. "I don't think we can go along with either plan, as it would require more than just us to pull off. We would need someone with experience in pulling off an operation like this. Someone like-"
     Chloe cuts Jason off, and says, "No. We can't get David involved. This isn't personal, and as much as I hate the fucker, he's seen too much fighting and war. Besides we don't know where he is."
     Just then, a vehicle is heard being parked. Jason cuts power to the building, and as soon as they hear the car door shut, the group hides away.
     Heavy footsteps could be heard throughout the junkyard, but they weren't near them at all. Jason looked around and saw that Roy was missing.
     Fucking hell, Roy! What is it with you?? Jason's thoughts were going rapid when he hears Roy nitch an arrow into his bow, and order the intruder to turn around.
     "Guess you caught me," came David Madson's voice. Chloe looked at her step-father, and silence came over the group. "Guess I should explain myself..."

Chapter 22: Familial Ties

     After David explains why he was there, Jason lets the ex--marine join their cause.
     "You're in," Jason said after walking away. Chloe soon followed him while everyone else talked to David.
     "Jason, I told you that I don't want my step-douche involved! He's seen enough war," Chloe says after grabbing Jason's shoulder .
     "I know. But he's not going to be out there. He will be our eyes and ears, dammit!"
     Chloe then realizes that Jason wants David to be their commander.
     "David won't be out in the field. I won't jeopardize his sanity and safety. But keeping him as a leader here will help us a lot."
     Chloe nods, and then tells Jason that she needed to talk to him soon.
     "Why don't we talk now, Clo?" Jason asks. "Its not like we're needed right now. They're talking about... I don't know cars or something." They both laugh at that.
     "Ever since we first met, I felt like we were pretty much born on the same day. And when you told me that you died on the same day as my dad I realized that we're connected like family. Maybe I'm getting soft because of Rachel but I had to say it," Chloe looka at Jason half smiling.
     "Clo I've felt the same. The shit we've been through has made us family. And no one will take that."
     The two hug it out and walk back over to the rest of the group. David nods at Jason, and then they begin to go over the plans for taking down Mark Jefferson.

Chapter 23: The Party

     Jason and everyone else had decided to go to the Vortex Club party. Everyone knew that Jefferson was going to be there to announce the photo contest winners. Jason wanted to do it publicly but Nathan suggested that they do it silently after the announcement. Nathan told them that he planned to take Victoria Chase after the show as he chose her for the contest and the kidnappings.
    "Vicky is going to be there and I'd rather not have another kidnapping here," Nathan says as they walk into the swim building.
     "Roy, do you think that you could take Jefferson after the announcement?" Chloe asks as she opens the doors up to the entrance to the bathrooms, the only ways in. Roy nods and then walks to get into position.
     "We should warn Victoria," Jason suggests. Everyone present nods in agreement. "Max, Nathan, Rachel, Chloe you're with me. Warren, you should follow Roy. I don't have a good vibe about him." Warren nods and replies with a yessir and walks off.
     "I won't ask, but you've gotten that same vibe from him too?" Nathan says as they make their way into the V.I.P room. "I'll get Vicky. You'll talk to her."
     When Vitoria Chase comes over, her attitude changes and as Jason tells her about Mark Jefferson. But she can't announce it to everyone. She tells him that she'll play along.
     "When he takes you to leave, we'll take him out," Jason says.
     "Alright. But if it jeopardizes anything, I'm bailing."
     Jason nods and walks off to get everyone set into place. The party's just getting started.

Chapter 24: The First Strike

(Roy's Perspective)
 

   As Jefferson made his way to the V.I.P room, Roy stopped him and told him to stay where he was.
     "Mark, Jason's planning to move against you. I'll get your men ready. Act like nothing is wrong." With that, Roy left. Jefferson made his way to the podium and gave his speech just as Roy left the party.
     Down at the docks of Arcadia Bay, Roy, masked, was clad in red and gray armor, giving orders to the mercenaries that Mark Jefferson had hired. Roy was telling them about the Outlaws, and the plan was to storm the town and have the kids fight them off until they died.
     After that, Roy took the armor off and went back to the Vortex Club party. His plan to get his sister Ashly back was in motion.

(Jason's Perspective)
     Jason saw Nathan nod towards him, indicating that their plan was in motion. Jason then began to advance on Jefferson when all of the lights in the building went out.
     People screamed, and then the lights flashed inside the building. Then followed the gunfire. Jason and Nathan screamed for everyone to get down.
     "NATHAN! WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHERE THESE GUYS ARE COMING FROM!" Jason shouts over the bullets flying. Nathan nods. He and Jason make there way to the entrance where Warren, Chloe, and Rachel are waiting for them.
     C'mon, we need to take these assholes out," Jason commands. The group runs out and begins taking down the mercenaries. Gunfire and hand-to-hand combat could but heard
throughout the building survivors. Slowly, they eliminate all of the mercenaries that were sent to kill them.
     Jason takes a headcount, and asks the question that startles everyone.
     "Where's Max?"

Chapter 25: The Seige

     Jason and the Outlaws make there way back to the Junkyard where David and Rachel's father are waiting for them.
     "Jason we're getting reports of armed men attacking Arcadia Bay," says Mr. Amber. "Is there anything we can do to help?"
     David looks at him, and asks if he could get as many veterans as possible to fight back for the time being. "Until we can get a large enough force to defend the town, we veterans are your best bet."
     Jason nods and tells the two men to round up as many ex-servicemen as they can.
     Chloe rushes inside and grabs her armor that she's had for years. She also hands Rachel a gun that she almost hesitantly takes. Warren asks if he can stay behind. Jason and Nathan both look at each other and nod in agreement. Then they hear a vehicle pull up. Jason runs out to greet Frank Bowers, who is asking what is going on.
     "Jefferson somehow made an army. Are you gonna help?" he asks. Frank nods, and tells Nathan that he should have backstabbed Jefferson before all of this happened. Not wanting to ask questions, Jason asks if they could use his RV as a mobile base for the time being. Frank nods, and Jason pulls out a few heavy guns. 
     "Arm the RV. We have to get ready." As Bowers does that, Jason orders everyone there to get armor on. They were going to war.

     I honestly didn't expect to make episode that long. Its just some parts of the story that combine it to the ending. Which should be out soon. Also, I've scrapped the release date ideas so yeah. Until then, peace.
