"You want to know everything?" Harry scoffs probably thinking I was crazy. I cross my arms while nodding waiting for his answer.
"I'm not telling you everything. Pick something else." Harry demands.
"Why can't you tell me everything?" I ask him wondering why.
"Because it isn't any of your business that's why." I narrow my eyes at him before sighing. I shake my head.
"Look I know its not really my business but I'm just curious. I sort of want to be a police officer or a detective when I'm older and that's what's pulling me towards the case." I respond suddenly feeling stupid for my long thought out answer.
"I fucking hate cops." Harry scoffs once again. That's all he has to say? I give him a look that says 'come on' He sighs.
"Okay look I'll tell you my story of what happened but not here. Not at school." I nod my head.
"Then when will you tell me?" I ask hoping it's tonight. He sighs for the 10th time.
"Give me your phone." He says holding out his hand.
"What? Why?" I don't like the idea of Harry having my number.
"Dammit. Do you always have to be so difficult? I need your number so I can text you where and when we are meeting to talk." He explains. He impatiently waits tapping his foot as I take my phone out of my back pocket. He takes it and hands me his phone.
"Don't get any bright ideas." He says referring to his phone. I roll my eyes at what he thinks I could do on his phone while he's standing right there. I finish typing in my number with my name and we exchange our phones back.
We stand there for a second and I can tell Harry's uncomfortable by the way he stands there not knowing what to say. It's not so easy talking to me without yelling right Harry? He looks like he's about to say something but then he turns around and walks away from me.
I'm about to go back to lunch when the bell rings so I just go to my next class. The rest of my day is boring and uneventful. I do pay the price though for going to bed so late when I fall asleep in math. I get yelled at by my teacher to wake up and put my hood down. I end up getting home and taking a nap right after school. That's what I usually do everyday after school. I end up waking up around 5 o'clock and thanking god my mom still isn't home from work.
I wait awhile for Harry's text hoping its not too late so I can get home before curfew. It's 7 o' clock when I hear my mom get home. Why hasn't Harry texted me yet? I pick up my phone again checking if he had and I just didn't hear my phone go off. He didn't. I walk downstairs and go into the family room to watch tv. My mom is already in there and I think about leaving for a second. Instead I sit down on the couch opposite from my her.
"How was school honey?" My mom averts her attention from the tv to me.
"Good." I answer giving the most teenage answer I could think of. My mom hates it when I don't go into detail about my day but I don't understand why I have to. It's just school. My mom starts trying to catch me up on what happened last time on Scandal but I don't pay attention. Finally at 7:30 I get a text from Harry. I quickly unlock my phone to look at the text.
*meet me at my usual spot*
I reread the text making sure of what it says. I stand up quickly, startling my mother.
"Mom, Samantha just broke up with her boyfriend and she wants me to come over." I lie.
"I didn't know Samantha had a boyfriend?" My mother says confusion evident in her voice.
