This chapter is really short ;3; So sorry about that guys. The others will be much longer I promise c:

Micheal’s POV

Who was that boy? The question drilled in my head for the longest time, pushing all the others I had to the side. Why am I here? What happened last night? Who am I? All these questions came without answers and a side of one major migraine. If the nurses knew anything about me and my predicament, they sure weren’t saying anything. I sat up in the very uncomfortable hospital bed and looked around. Everything smelt of bleach and was pearly white. One thing I knew for sure is that I definitely didn’t belong here. A small part of me wanted to just rip away from the machines that held me captive and leave this place. But the other part told me to stay. Maybe I could bribe one of the nurses for some information on me. …Bribe? What am I saying? I didn’t know if I was some bum living under a bridge, or a successful millionaire. I sat back in the bed and gave a hefty huff.

Not even an hour later a nurse walked in.

“Micheal?” she called sweetly. That kid earlier called me by the same name, so I went along with my name was Micheal. I didn’t answer, yet she walked in anyway.  A tall man wearing a perfectly trimmed business suit followed her quietly. He had a large black briefcase.

“Micheal this is going to be your counselor. You’ve gone through a very traumatic accident and Mr. Lee here is going to help you in as many ways possible,” the nurse explained. I looked at Mr. Lee. He was tall and well-toned for a counselor. He had hard brown eyes and black hair and dark skin. He sat down in the chair next to my bed and looked me in the eye.

“Micheal do you remember anything about the crash?” He asked sternly. I thought about it, but everything was fuzzy.

“No, I don’t,” I said finally. He shifted and opened the briefcase pulling out a small stack of papers. He proceeded to read them.

“Twenty-one year old Micheal Knight was on his way to making drag racing history,” he paused looking up at me then continued, “That is until the huge crash on the last turn. Upon a later review on the cars braking system a default appeared to be the cause.” He stopped reading and placed the papers back in his briefcase. I sat there watching him quietly. I remembered something then. Quick flashbacks of the accident played in front of my eyes. The car flipping in midair and the impact on the tracks barrier all reeled by like a horror movie. My life literally flashed before my eyes for a second time. I gasped snapping back to reality. Mr. Lee stood up and flashed a cold smile, “I’ll see you around Micheal…” He said before leaving. I waited for the door to click shut before I closed my eyes.
