Driving me crazy

Chapter 1

"Jenna, get up for school. You're getting late" my mom yelled from downstairs. I rubbed my eyes and stretched out to start the day. When I got ready i ran downstairs and got my breakfast. As soon as i wanted to walk out of the door, my mom told me "Don't forget to go to the mall and get a birthday present for your dad. He's coming over tomorrow" I turned around and asked "he's coming? I thought he couldn't cause---" my mom cut me off and said "that's all in the past. Just get him something nice okay" I smiled and waved my mom goodbye.

I picked up my bestfriend Tom Avery, we've known each other ever since we were in our moms womb which is weird but seriously our moms were bestfriends since highschool which automatically makes us bestfriends.
"Running a bit late i see?" Tom smirked.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Just get in the car"
"Okay so my dad is coming over tomorrow since it's his birthday apparently and-"
Tom cut me off and yelled "what?! He's coming? This is a big ass surprise"
I nodded "I know. It's crazy, i haven't seen him in forever. Ugh it's so frustrating like what the hell am i gonna give?"
Tom puts his hands on my shoulder and calmly said "hey don't worry okay. Just because he's back doesn't mean it's gonna be bad. I think seeing you is a good present already" I smiled and said "aagh, you're so nice if you want to be"
"I mean i don't want to brag but yeaaa.." he said.
We both looked at each other and burst into laughter. "No but i do really need to get a present. Wanna join me at the mall after school?" I asked.
Tom is doubting and said "you know i'd love to but my brother is coming home from college and my parents are making this welcome home kind off diner so i have to be there."
"Fine. Then i guess it's just me at the mall today." I sighed.

3:40pm
So school just ended and after dropping Tom home, i went straight to the mall. Driving to the parking lot seeing that a lamborghini car is parked on the place where i always park. "Ugh rich people with their stupid expensive car" I mumbled to myself.

I went to different stores and still couldn't find the perfect gift. But there was one store i didn't went to yet which was Men At Work, it looked like a clothing store so i went in to see if they had anything good. I went to the t-shirts section but all the had was stupid little captions on it. "Alcohol is better than water"
"What the hell, why would men ever wear this type of shit" I said to myself not knowing a tall guy is standing next to me and said "so talking to yourself is a new thing huh?"
I got a little scared and looked next to me
"Excuse me?" I asked
He smirked and said "i think the shirt is pretty cool"
I thought to myself "who the hell does he think he is?" I squeezed my eyes and said "well good for you.. besides why are you even talking to me? Go mind your own business"
He stepped a little more towards me and said "Because you caught my attention"
I faked my smile and said "look, i'm not here for this okay? Like i don't know you. You don't know m-" he cut me off and got confused
"You don't know me..?" As i wanted to say something back a couple of girls pushed me away and started to jump all over that guy.
"Okay.. not weird at all" I ignored what just happend and walked out of the store.
