Chapter 5

After leaving the ob/gyn I went to Derek house. I've been here before but I wasn't in here that long. For some reason he kept rushing me out.

Nikki waited in the car as I waited for Derek to answer the door. I heard voices come from his backyard so I walked around towards the gate. I was going to open it but someone words stopped me.

"So you telling me you didn't tell her? Whats her name again?"

"Ariana." I heard Derek voice say.

"Tell me what?" I whispered to myself.

"I told him from the start that he was making a mistake." I heard Caleb voice say.

"She don't know you're married?"

"I lied and said that Brittany died in a car accident 2 years ago and I wear the ring for remembrance. I mean she fell for it." Derek said.

"And when Brit comes back from her parents then what are you going to do? You just gone let Ariana go? Then continue your marriage like nothing happen. I mean come on bro you had sex with her while Brit was at parents house." I didn't want to hear anymore.

I found a brick and threw it at Derek car breaking his window then hurried up and ran to Nikki car as his alarm went off.

"What the hell was that?" Nikki yelled as she sped off.

"That was me releasing my anger." I said.

"What happened?"

"Nikki he lied. I over heard him,Caleb and some other people talking. Derek lied about his wife dying. Her name is Brittany. She's alive, she's just with her parents right now. Caleb knew the whole time, he could of at least been real enough to tell me. I slept with this man who used me, lied to me and just flat out played me." I said and I was in tears.

"I'm sorry Ari. I knew something was up. Don't cry over him though."

"I hear you. I just wish I did more than mess up his car. I should of blowed some shit up." I said making her laugh.

"That's the Ari I know right there."

DEREK POV

I was talking to my boys while sitting in the backyard then I heard a loud sound of shattered glass. My car alarm went off so I went outside.

"What the fuck!!!" I yelled when I saw that someone threw a brick through my windshield.

"Damn bro what happened?" Caleb asked coming out. I looked around and didn't see anyone. I grabbed the brick and recognized it had glitter on it. It had to be a female and I know for sure that Ariana wears this perfume that has glitter. She'll always have it on her hands.

"Aye y'all I need to go somewhere real quick." I said. I ran inside to grab the keys to pull my car in the garage then I drove in my other car to Ariana house.

Ariana wasn't at home. I called her phone 15 times then I had Caleb call Nikki phone and no one answered. The one place I can check now is Ariana job. After I made it to Mary's nursery home, I got out and went to the front desk.

"Welcome to Mary's Nursery Home how may I help you?" the lady said.

"Is Ariana in today?" I asked.

"I'm Sorry is that one of our elders or--"

"No your workers."

"Ariana who?" she asked looking on the computer.

"Smith."

"I'm sorry sir but we don't have a worker in the name of Ariana Smith. There's not even an Ariana that work here. Are you sure you have the right Nursery home?"

"I don't even know anymore. " I said walking out. Don't tell me she lied.

I went back to her apartment and Nikki answered the door.

"Oooh nooo." she said trying to close the door but I put my foot in between.

"Just let me talk to Ari." I said.

"She doesn't want to talk to you."

"But I want to talk to her. Please open the door." I said and she did.  I went to Ariana room after she let me in.

"What the hell are you doing here Mr. My wife died 2 years ago?" she yelled getting out her bed. "You lied to me."

"Just like you lied to me about your job? seriously?"

"That's not important. What's important is how you lied about your wife."

"OK yeah I lied but i know for a fact  that  that didnt give you permission to throw a brick through my windshield." I yelled.

"Oh trust me baby. I could of did worse. Like blew that bitch up but I did you a favor because you can just get that fixed. You should be happy."

"Happy? I'm starting to think you're fucking crazy."

"Yeah but you had sex with this crazy woman and let's see how your wife feels about it when she get in town." she said with a smirk.

"You trying to ruin my marriage now?" I asked.

"You did that yourself when you first kissed me. Now you can leave I'm done talking to you."

"Ari lo-"

"Its Ariana."

"Whatever. Ariana look. I wasn't faking this whole time. I really do care about you. There's something in you that I don't see in my wife."

"How nice. Bye bye." she said scooting me out.

"I know I'm married but I care too much about you. I can't lose you."

"Derek you can't lose something you never had."she said then she closed the door in my face.

I heard Nikki laughing. I turned to look at her.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"Y'all just so hilarious. First off, y'all was building that so called relationship up with nothing but lies. Then you trying to keep her in your life knowing your ass is married. She feeling you but trying to deny it I mean this is a straight show for me. I know I'm not perfect but seriously?" she said shaking her head. "Don't slam my door when you leave out."

she went to her room then I left.

I slammed the door just to be funny. Messing with her is the funniest thing on earth.

"Do it again!!!!" I heard her scream from inside the apartment. She's the most ghetto white girl I've ever met but she's real. Her words stuck with me.
