Chapter 1

~Maria's Pov*

I was on my way to the airport when I realized my dream was finally coming true. Even though I will miss everything and everyone in this little Pennsylvania town, it is a new start for me to make new friends and find out what life is really about!

"Maria how are you feeling, you look sick?" My mother sounds concerned

"I'm fine, thanks just nervous" I reassure her

She nods I just smile

The flight went fast and quiet which got me to think all of my plans through for my new school

We get to our new house and it was already 10 pm so I just went to my room and went to sleep so I can have a good night for my first day tomorrow

.. The Next Day

I get up at 5:30 so I can find stuff that is still packed. I pick out for my clothes a gray crop top that says "can you not" with blue high wasted shorts and just plain old white converse

I first take a shower to calm my nerves. I straighten my hair and put my make up on and put my contacts in. After I'm done getting ready it's only seven and school start at eight I wake up my brother which takes me a half and hour he is so fucking lazy I can't stand it. He finally wakes up and just go as he is.

" Can we stop by Starbucks I need coffee?" he asks me

"As long as you get me one" I smile and he nods

We got our coffee and now we are on our way to the school. When we get there I'm amazed at the beautiful school it looks better than the pictures!

The principle takes me to my home room and greets me to everyone I smile shyly. All the girls are looking at me with disgust in their eyes. All their boys look like their eyes are gonna pop out of their head, I just roll my eyes. One boy caught my eye he was covered in tattoos and his lip was pierced. Punk and bad boys were not really my type, but he caught my eye.

"Do you have a staring problem?" he snapped

"No...I was just... I" couldn't figure out the words to say

He rolled his eyes and ignored me. The rest of the day went by fast.

I was waiting outside waiting for my brother but he never came to pick me up so I decided to walk home. When I get home I saw Giovanni

" What the hell? I waited a fucking hour for you to pick me up! where the hell were you?!" I yell

"Jeezzz Maria calm down" he says calmly

His eyes are bloodshot and he is happy and peaceful... he's high. I roll my eyes and I was heading upstairs to the bathroom when I see that rude tattooed boy.

"Why the fuck are you here" he snaps

" I fucking live here why are you here?!?" I yell

"Giovanni invited me over" he tells me

I roll my eyes he's drunk I stay in my room the rest of the night and do my homework before I my mind catches up I am falling asleep into my homework
