This chapter is actually kinda based of a visit to the Zoo I recently went on with my friends.

Taehyung's POV

A strong arm is frantically shaking me, pulling me out of the warm depth of sleep. Grumbling, I swat them away weakly but like an annoying fly they come back, tugging on my sheets to wake me up.

"TaeTaaaae!! Wake uuuup!" It whines loudly and I identify the fly as none other than sunshine boy Jung Hoseok.

"What do you want Hobi?" I say, voice husky and annoyed from being pulled from my sleep. I sit up begrudgingly, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

"Jin-Hyung said breakfast is ready!!!" He sung out loudly before flouncing from the room, loudly declaring his love for the pancakes Seokjin was cooking. I slide my legs out from under the sheets and grab my cane, hobbling to the kitchen. I slightly curse under my breath as a furious throbbing erupts from my chest and I slump myself in my seat in front of a plate stacked to the top with chocolate chip pancakes. I grab my box of pills and counted out 8 from one of the boxes marked WED. I held them in my hand as I swallowed 2 at a time, catching a few sympathetic glances from the others.

"So Taehyungie, it's our day off today, anywhere particular you want to go?" My brother asks, a few crumbs flying from his mouth that was stuffed to the brim with pancakes. Seokjin tuts at him, swatting his arm with a disgusted face. I chuckle. I look around, noticing Yoongi is absent and conclude that Hobi was to sacred to wake him up. I smile to myself.

"Oh! Oh we should go to the zoo!!" Jimin piped up loudly, excitement brimming in his brown eyes. I nod my head frantically, signalling that I indeed agreed with Jimin.

"I want to go to the zoo. I've never been before!" I exclaim, my heart throbbing slightly. The other look at me in shock, all except Namjoon.

"Yeah, our parents hated the idea of animals in tiny cages like it used to be. They don't believe that it's changed so we were never allowed to go." He explained, me nodding along half heartedly.

"Wow...that must have sucked" said Hoseok, wiping away a fake tear and then chuckling at his own acting.

"Then it's settled!! We're off to the zoo!!" Shouted Seokjin and we all cheered, scarfing down our breakfast and rushed, or in my case hobbled, as fast as we could to our rooms to get ready.

About an hour and a grumpy awoken Yoongi later we were all bundled into the mini-van and headed for Seoul zoo. My wheelchair was folded and packed into the boot, a backpack with water, sweets and medication sitting at my feet. I stare out of the window, too distracted by the pretty landscape to notice anything until my brother shoved a piece of paper in my face.

"What's this?" I ask curiously, staring at the shiny paper I was just handed, bringing it close to my face to make out the writing along the top.

My eyes widened as I read it over and over until I spin around in my seat, launching my arms around my brothers neck viciously, ignoring at the uncomfortable feeling in my chest. He smiles into my hair and hugs me back, silently accepting my silent thank you.

The ride to the Zoo was annoyingly long and I soon felt the familiar feeling of heavy eyelids as sleep engulfed me entirely, my body slipping down to rest on Namjoon's shoulder.

~ Time Skip ~

I was roused by the sound of the engine turning off, the soft vibrations of the van dying out and leaving silence in its wake. I open my eyes sleepily and observe the sign directly outside my window.

SEOUL ZOO

I almost squeak out of pure joy before looking at my phone, the letter flashing an alarming 11:37 at me.

"Guys it's less than 30 minutes I til the giraffe feeding!! We need to go!" I say, pushing my self out the car door and, using the car as support, I pull out my wheelchair, popping it open and seating myself down. I experimentally wheel back and forth, concluding everything was fine and began rushing off. Suddenly a hand on the handles of my chair stop me in my tracks and I turn to see Jungkook holding onto my chair the others file out of the van, grabbing their stuff and my backpack I had forgot. I groan in annoyance but nonetheless sit patiently until each member is by my side.

Due to it being a Wednesday in the middle of term time, the boys didn't bother with face masks and glasses, instead sporting natural faces, make up nowhere to be found and their natural beauty radiating through. We get our tickets and enter the zoo, immediately being bombarded by the sounds of various birds surrounding us in their enclosures. I stare around fascinated before remembering the time.
"Joonie the giraffes!"
He nods and we make our way to the open meadow that was the giraffe enclosure. I stare in awe as the majestic, long legged creatures ambling around. We make our way onto the high bridge walk way and stroll over to the keeper standing off to the side. Namjoon clears his throat and the keeper looks up, a smile carved into his face. He had bright orange dyed hair that was curly with light brown freckles and long legs. In some way he resembled the animals he cared for.

"Here for the feeding are we?" He speaks, his voice deep, but nowhere near Taehyung's level. He looks at the group before his eyes fall on me and my ticket outstretched in my hand.
" 'M real sorry lad but wheel chairs can't come through here." He says, sympathy playing in his tone.

"Oh that quite alright" I reply, standing up carefully, pushing my wheelchair to the side and leaning on Namjoon. " It's only for long distance" He nodded before checking all our tickets and letting us through the small wooden gate. I look at the little platform, there was 4  dividers placed along the outside of the platform, presumingly to stop the giraffes fighting over singular branches offered by visitors. I tug Namjoon over to a section, both of us grabbing onto a branch laid on the floor beside us and holding it out as we were instructed to do so.
The keeper blew into a whistle and like well trained dogs, the giraffes came ambling over, eager at the thought of fresh food. I hear the keeper walk up behind us as we are approached by a giraffe that was so brilliantly orange, it stood out among the others around it.

"That's Orange, one of our female giraffes here at Seoul Zoo and the youngest." The keeper explains before walking off to see the others.

Orange stuck out her long black tongue, it wrapping around the branch in my hands and stripping it almost clean of leaves. As she contently munches on her leaves I stare at her long, lean body in awe and amazement.

"I can't believe you got us tickets to feed giraffes Joonie. You know they're my favourite animal" I say quietly, Orange now leaning over to my brothers branch to get another mouthful.

"Well I researched at little after getting ready and saw that they offered giraffe feeding sessions and couldn't help but book is some. Are you enjoying it?" He asks me and I nod frantically using my free arm to wrap around his waist and pressed a kiss to the side of his chest.

"I love you Big Bro"

"I love you too Little Bro"

At his point the thought of the ticking time bomb in my chest, along with the pain it caused, disappeared. Instead it was just me and Joonie watching as Orange devoured branch after branch of leaves. Together.

I was forced to cut this chapter up into two separate chapters because there is so much more I want to say but I didn't want to have an exceedingly long chapter that would drag out this update even longer. Sorry if it's shitty.
