3rd POV

Taehyung's death affected all the members, of course it did, he basically became like a little brother to them all. But the worst of them all was Namjoon. He started overworking himself, missing meals and sleep in an attempt to crush the mourning feelings that insisted on bubbling in his chest. He desperately tried to loose himself in his work, like he used to but it didn't have the same calming effect it used to. Namjoon perused music half because he found a genuine interest in it and half because Taehyung had egged him on, encouraging him on every step of his journey to where he was currently. But now, he didn't have a little brother pushing him along, pulling him up when he falls or to share his success with. He had no one. Sure he had the members, but they didn't have the same pure connection that him and Tae had.

Namjoon has become an empty shell and he feared he would stay like that forever.

Seokjin's POV

The day of Taehyung's funeral seemed to have been edging closer and closer, creeping up on us so slowly that before we knew it, the fateful day was tomorrow. Me and Yoongi , with a little help from the other members, had organised Tae's farewell, a simple ceremony before the burial and then a party afterwards. Many would think that having a party was disrespectful, that we are celebrating their death. But I know for a fact that this is what the younger would have wanted. We've already had our grieving time and now it was time to move on and celebrate his life, as short as it was, as brightly as we possibly can.

"Are these good hyung?" Jimin's quiet voice rang across the room to I was. We had been making little booklets to give to people at the ceremony, stating the songs that will be sung and the eulogies that would be made. The shorter man handed over his booklet for me to inspect.

On the front was a picture of Tae, taken on our day out to the zoo. He was feeding the giraffes, his hand outstretched as he beamed his joyous rectangular grin at the lense of Yoongi's camera. The photo made my heart ache, wishing I could hear his voice just one more time.

If his death had affected me as much as it has, I dread to think how Namjoonie is feeling.

I smile at Jimin, going to open my mouth to tell him it looked great when I was cut off by the creaking of a door, followed by sluggish footsteps.

"W-what are these?" Namjoon's tired voice rings in my ears and I spin round. We haven't seen the younger in weeks, as we were all given 2 weeks off following Taehyung's death. He had locked himself in his studio, segregating himself from everyone else.

3rd POV

Namjoon's eyes well up at the picture of his brother and he is hit with a wave of sadness so strong he sways, his knees giving out underneath him. The feelings that he had been suppressing had built up and, slowly but surely, flooded him.

As he knelt in the floor, he sobbed. Heavy tears rolled down his cheeks as he took shuddering breaths, his head buzzing angrily. He cried and cried, barely registering the pairs of arms wrapping around his torso, some thin and boney, some thick and muscular.

Similar tears soaked his shirt in a patchy fashion as all the members crouched on the floor of the dining room, crying their hearts out.

~~~~ Time Skip ~~~~
The boys all donned similar black suits with a bright purple flower in the pockets with purple ties. They say up straight in the hard wooden pews in front of the deep mahogany casket. The priest droned on, the boys barely listening as they eyed the confined wooden box containing the one person they all came to care for the most. Everything at that point seemed surreal, like time was passing slowing just to draw out the pain they were all feeling.
Before they realised it, the ceremony was over and men in complete black suits with stoic expressions walked forward to pick up the casket ready to bury it. Suddenly a song began playing.
"I-is that my baby brother...?" Namjoon shakily asked, the melodic voice of his brother flowing through the speakers of the church sound system. Fresh tears welled up in his already red eyes as he looked towards the members. They all had similar glassy eyes as they nodded, confirming the fact that it was indeed Tae singing in this version of 'The Truth Untold'.
"It's so beautiful" he whispered, heavy tears sliding down his cheeks as he smiled. Pride filled his entire being as he continued to listen.
"Manager-nim said that as long as you're ok with it, he's happy if we put this version on the album" Yoongi told him, a slight crack in his voice. Namjoon only smiled, not trusting his voice.
He felt as if this song would be the connection between him and Taehyung forever, no matter what happens.
