I wake up and take a quick shower.
It's 10:30.
I change into a black hoodie and dark jeans.
I look in the mirror.
I push my bangs to cover only a little bit of my face.
I want Rose to see my new amazing face.
I put my phone and knife in my pocket then head downstairs.
My mom and dad in the same spot as yesterday and I'm guessing Liu is in his room.
I walk out the door this time not having to answer one of my mom's stupid questions.
I think mom is to scared to talk to me anymore.
I don't mind, I never liked talking to her anyway.
I walk down the street and its just gloomy today.
No snow.
Cops are at the house where I put night. I walk right pass them and they don't notice me.
There so stupid. Why call the cops just because a stupid cat died.
I walk up to Roses house and knock.
I wait a couple of minutes and no one answers.
I sit on the bench and wait.
It's not like they can stay in there house forever.
After about 20 minutes a car pulls up to Roses house.
Rose gets out of the car with her mom.
"Rose."
She turns and smiles. She gets off the car with a bright red dress with black leggings and a vest.
"Well you came early Jeff." She says.
"Yeah I wanted to show you my new look."
"Okay be there in a second I need to get something out of the trunk.
She pulls out guitar .
I didn't know she could play.
She walks up to the house smiling.
I get up and start walking to her with the biggest smile I can do.
The closer I get the smaller her smile gets.
She stops in her steps.
"Jeff?"
"Yeah."
"Stop."
I stop a couple feet in front of her.
Her eyes are full of fear.
She looks like she has just seen a ghost.
She goes pale.
"Rose?"
"Jeff." A tear goes down he cheek.
"What's wrong Rose?" I stop smiling and try to get close to her so that I can hug her but she pushes me away.
"You need to leave Jeff." More tears go down her cheek.
"But why Rose?"
"Your scaring me Jeff. Please just change back. Just smile that big smile you used to have." She goes around me with her guitar and her mom walks past me looking scared.
I run home and into the house.
I run upstairs and look in the mirror.
What's so scary about my new face?
I look closer.
My eyes look cool. My hair even better then that ugly brown color. My smile?
"It needs to be bigger."
I take the knife out of my pocket.
Click.
I stare into the mirror.
I put the knife inside my mouth.
"For you Rose."
