Sitting in my office for the past 5 hours, staring down at my sketch book with no creative designs coming to mind. After finding out about my husband's infidelity, I honestly don't know what's next for us. Should I give him another chance knowing that I was aware of his wrongdoing?
Interrupted by my thoughts someone knocked on my door. I was looking a pitiful mess with no make up, red eyes and hair in a messy bun dressed in sweat pant, white tee, with my nude Uggs.
"Come in."
"Hey Tiff, I wanted to talk to you before I head on home." He must have read my face. "You ok?"
"Yeah, yeah come in Galvin I'm fine." Sniffling while trying to clear off my desk. "What's up?"
"You sure? I can e-mail you instead if that's ok."
"Don't be silly now, I'm fine."
"I was wondering if you think Hannah is eligible to handle make-up coordination. She had Olivia looking super glittery tonight. You might want her to have her do the touching up rather than the full work. Maybe she can pair up with Loni Mink to train her alittle more."
"Wow, you do pay attention that's something I didn't notice tonight but I'll set up a meeting to rearrange everyone's position. Thanks for pointing that out."
"Are you sure you're good? You have been off this past week even at rehearsal this morning, you didn't even go off on Brad for putting regular milk in your latte. You drank it knowing you rather have almond milk." We both laughed he is right I do prefer almond milk in my latte but lately I've been drained to even care.
"You know me so well crazy part I saw him put the milk in and I didn't even bother to correct him." I sighed nervously deciding whether or not I should vent to Galvin. My mom is aware only bits and pieces of what's going on but I haven't fully been able to rage out. She doesn't do well with emotional outbursts so I've been keeping to myself ever since.
"Actually, no I'm not alright. My marriage is falling apart well it is apart, another baby involved, I've gotta come up with a new design for next season, and everything is just out of place! I'm so tired, so tired I feel like my world is coming to an end but whenever I look into Jade's eyes I have numerous reasons to keep going. Why couldn't he just tell me the truth from the beginning?" Once again the tears were filling up my eyes. He walked around my desk pulling me up out of my seat giving me a hug.
"Let it out, Tiff." Doing what he told me I wasted no time crying out.
"I...I...I don't know what to do." Sobbing uncontrollably my legs got weak. He held onto me tighter not letting me fall, for the first time in a long time my feelings mattered. Galvin allowed me to be vulnerable I didn't have to pretend.
"It's ok, you've held it in enough for this long. Let it out."
*********
All cried out feeling much lighter than before I was able to get my ideas out with the help from Galvin. We ordered take-out, drank wine, even played a game too. It was such a relaxing evening not realizing it was almost 5 in the morning, he stayed with me the entire time."This was needed for me. I can't believe I've got 20 different styles for next season. Gosh, you're the best Galvin, seriously you are. You should let me treat you for dinner."
He raised his left brow at me. "I mean you don't have to. It's all good I was just helping out that's all. No need to treat me for anything."
"But I want to I'm not taking no for an answer."
"Ha, typical persistent Tiffany. Alright, alright I'll let you treat me."
"Smothered chicken, yellow rice, green beans & red velvet cake for dessert. How's that?"
