When we were a little away from the ship I dismount the creature, and help Lincoln towards the ship. When we reach it I hand him over to some Big Brother soldiers who escort him to the infirmary, and one flanks me immediately after that. I sigh, and head towards my room. When we reach my room I head in, and sit on my bed. I summon my swords back into the crystal, and then lay down on my bed.
I played with a ball of blue-green light in my hands, but then my curiosity got the better of me. I groan, and then summon the ball back into the crystal, and leave my room. The guard flanks me, and I head towards the infirmary. When I reach the infirmary I peer in and see Lincoln lying on a bed.
I head into the infirmary. The droid was fussing over Lincoln. I head over the droid.
"What happened to him?" I ask.
"He was cut with claw of some kind. It's not too bad, he'll be fine." The droid says.
I nod.
"Do you mind if I wait here?" I ask.
"No." The droid shakes his head.
I take a seat, and close my eyes. I reach out with my senses and feel his presence. I focus then enter his mindscape. To my surprise I see it's a home. I saw two people in front of him.
One was a woman, and one was a man. The woman had a uniform on, it was reminiscent of a pilot uniform. The man had on regular clothes, but from his build I could make out that he was a soldier. The memory changes and I see Lincoln's parents watching as he went off with a guy in dark green robes. It changes to a vision of Marth towering over Lincoln as a little boy.
After that before anything else happens Lincoln seemed to notice that he wasn't alone. He turned around and his look was murderous. I saw that and felt my heart start beating out of my chest in fear. When Lincoln noticed it was me though his demeanor changed, and it seemed to soften. He changed his mindscape to neutral ground, surprisingly it was the cave where I found my crystal, and I've had that dream with Lincoln in it.
Lincoln sat down.
"How are you here?" Lincoln asks.
"I know how to delve into mindscapes." I say.
"Yeah, but to be able to do that you have to be touching the person you want to see the mindscape of, and you're not I can tell." Lincoln says.
"I just need to be in the same room with them." I say.
"You are really powerful, no wonder Marth wants you." Lincoln says.
He looks away and I see him fiddle with his hands.
"What were those visions? I didn't see those ones in the dream. Except the Marth one I did see a Marth one." I say.
Lincoln looks at me almost as if he wasn't sure what to make of this question.
"I could've let that beast kill you, but I saved you. I don't know why. We're connected somehow." I say.
Lincoln sighs.
"My mother, Fayre Fanger was a pilot, so she was always called away on missions. My father, Zander Fanger was a soldier, so he was also always being called away on missions. So a lot of the time I was alone. They sent me to my Uncle. My uncle wasn't a bad person, but he was also busy, and while he stayed home he was withdrawn, and sometimes I didn't see him for weeks." Lincoln says.
Lincoln trails off after that. I know he doesn't think this, but hearing that, it seemed to me that Marth found a perfect person to manipulate. Alone, mad at parents, and lots of free time to twist the boys mind.
"I don't remember my parents, they abandoned me on a Tundra planet. But you know that don't you?" I ask.
Lincoln nods.
"Why haven't you tried to escape, or murder some guards?" Lincoln asks.
"I know if I escape or send a communication you will track it. I figured as long as I'm stuck here I might as well have free reign, and not be stuck in a prison." I say.
Lincoln nods.
"I've also seen all the machines you're building." I say.
Lincoln smirks.
"Yeah, we have a plan for that." Lincoln says.
"You mean Marth and you as we don't you?" I ask.
Lincoln nods.
"Why haven't you tried to get information out of me yet? That's the whole reason I'm here." I say.
"It's not the only reason. Like I said Marth wants you. He's the one going to be getting the information from you." Lincoln says.
I nod.
"Why do you seem to not be trembling before me?" Lincoln asks.
"You and I are connected again for some unknown reason. You act differently around me then other people. Don't worry I still think you're a monster. But you're a monster with choices." I say.
I exit his mindscape, and then head towards my room.
