We walked through Miami, her hand in mine.
"Hey look! An iHop." Sam pointed to an iHop down the road.
"Is that where you want to eat?" She nodded. "Alright." We walked into iHop and a waiter gave us a booth. "What are you thinking about getting?"
"Hmm... chocolate chip pancakes since you owe me pancakes." She had a big smile on her face. You're still not over that... "And eggs. You?"
"French toast combo."
The waiter took our order. Sam was sitting next to me. I casually stretched my arm and put it behind her shoulders. She looked up at me with a sly smile. "Smooth."
I smirked. "Did you see any places you wanted to stop at?"
"No not yet." Soon the waiter came with our food. "That was fast."
"We didn't order that much." Sam ate faster than normal. I left a tip on the table. "Where to next?"
"Try to find a gift shop." We wandered around for awhile before we found an actual gift shop. "Noah, look at this!" In her hands she held a glass figurine in the shape of an alligator.
"Do you want it?"
"Umm..." She was hesitant to say yes. She probably didn't want me to spend any money on her.
"Sammy, if you want it I'll buy it." She nodded quickly with a big smile on her face. "Is there anything else you want?"
Sam looked around the store. "Nope, but maybe at another shop." I took the glass figure and brought it to the counter. I carried her bag. I felt like one of those guys in the movies that carries the lady's shopping bags.
Sam was gripping tightly to my hand. I caught a couple glances of girls looking at me and guys looking at her. We stopped at a few more stores. I ended up buying her more figurines, a stuffed animal, and a snow globe.
"Are you ready to head back yet?" I asked. I guess I'm getting a good work out carrying her bags.
She looked around. "Yea, I guess so."
"Do you want to watch the sunset?"
"Let's put our suits on first." We got back and changed, then headed to the beach. Once again, she sat on my lap and I kissed her neck. The sun started setting. The sky was a mixture of warm colors, and soon it went dark. I looked around to see if anyone was on the beach. Not a person to be seen. I tackled Sam and she started giggling. I pinned her to the ground and kissed her.
She pushed me slightly. "Not here."
I furrowed my brows. "What did you think I was going to do?" I'm still scared.
"I dunno..." I think she felt embarrassed that she assumed something. I couldn't tell if she was hoping I was going to go further. I took her silence as a hint and lifted her up. I carried her back to the hotel room. "I brought a speaker. Do you care if I play music?"
"No, but I'm going to go shower." I closed the door to the bathroom and undressed. I heard her playing Seether. Sam showered after me. As I laid in the bed, I rested my eyes. When I heard the door open, I opened my eyes to see Sam crawling on top of me wearing only lingerie. "Umm..."
"Am I making you uncomfortable?" she asked with a nervous look. One thing I've learned over the years is that she has a fear of rejection.
"No..." I bit my lip. I put my hands on her waist, but she moved them lower. I softly kissed her collar bone. I removed her bra and she shyly covered herself. "Sammy... you're beautiful..." She blushed and moved her hands away.
I looked in her eyes, asking for permission. She moved my hands to the lining of her panties, and I removed them. I got on top of her and continued to kiss her. I was no longer scared.
