"Sakura, my sweetheart." The white haired girl's father cooed softly as he brought her into a hug,"I hope you know I love you."
"Papa! I love you too, papa!" Young Sakura exclaimed hopping in the man's arms.
Suddenly, the scene went from happy and calm to dark and hellish. The setting was ominous and scary— fire blazed from the walls and a villain stood above her father, the Pro Hero Yang.
"DADDY!!!" The young girl screeched at the top of her lungs, but that didn't stop anything.
"What's this? A little fly ready for me to swat away?" A low growl erupted from the wolf-like villains throat," I'll take care of you once I finish this pitiful excuse for a hero."
A loud crack was heard along with a man's scream.
"It's your turn now, little pest." He informed, stomping towards her and reaching to grab the white haired girl.
Then, she was enclosed in darkness.
Sakura shot up, her body soaked with sweat and her face drenched in tears. The room surrounding her was filled with darkness, telling her it was still nighttime. Just to make sure, she checked her phone. The bright screen read, 3:42 am.
The white haired girl sighed, her heart still violently beating. She laid back down in attempt to fall back into a deep slumber, but ultimately failed. Sakura laid in bed until her alarm went off a 5 am. With that, she began her usual morning routine.
After the two hours had passed, it was 7 am. Sakura exited her room and traveled into the kitchen, where her mom, a Pro Hero named Yin, was brewing some coffee.
"Morning mom!" Sakura smiled and kissed her mother's cheek before adding,"I gotta get going for school. Wish me luck!"
"Morning sweetie. I have no doubt in my mind that you will make it into the school. Now go on!" The woman returned the warm smile and ushered her away,"I might be home a little late tonight, so I'll leave you some food in the fridge. I love you!"
"Love you too, mom!" And with that, she exited the house with a smile on her face.
