Night Lights
It's nights like these.
When everything seems to be still, and every sound is muted. When the cars outside aren't honking at every second and the neighbors aren't arguing. A time that no one contacts the university student and he doesn't have until another seven hours to head to class. No need to worry about what's due, because quite frankly at this point he doesn't really care anymore. A night where he doesn't have to sit behind a counter watching the few nocturnal wonderers coming in and out.
It's nights like these, the only time Jeon Jungkook feels sane.
Getting to lay in bed and staring out the window. Trying to fight the urge to close his eyes and fall asleep because he needs to take in every second of peace. Unconsciously running his hand through a silky full head of hair or rubbing the back of a sleeping form cuddled up into his torso. Listening to the crickets outside the window or the soft snores of a two year old.
And whenever he does accidentally drift off he doesn't mind waking up to whimpers and a small body pressing themselves deeper into his warm body. Or a small foot all of a sudden kicking the side of his head.
Because nights like these, the reason why he's sane, are the nights he gets to spend with the two sons he's grown to love.
"Jeon Siho." He chuckled moving the little ones foot away from his face. "Jeon Liho." He kissed the other snuggled up into his chest.
His reasons to go on with the struggles life brings.
