"Louis, hurry up! You promised you could drive the kids to school today. I have to go and I wanna make sure you're ready to go before I leave!" Louis rolled his eyes as he walked down the stairs, careful not to get caught by Johannah.
"Yes, mother, I know. I'm ready. Are the girls' ready yet?" Jay nodded before walking over to her son and kissing his forehead. She signaled towards the countertop where two warm pancakes were served. Louis thanked her with a smile then walked to the delicious pancakes sitting on the counter.
"The girls' already ate but I made sure to save you a couple. But eat quickly. Make sure you guys aren't late. It's your first day and I don't want you kids to have a bad first impression. Take the twins to daycare! And be safe, okay? Be careful on the street, make sure you have your tie and ID, check both mirrors, and please take your phone." She rambled while she looked hurridly through her purse to make sure she had everything she needed. She walked over to her son, grabbing him by his chin gently and leaning in to kiss him quickly on the cheek. "And make sure the girls have everything. Uniform, ID, school supplies, everything okay? Alright, I gotta go. Bye, I love you! Tell the girls I love them so much!"
"Okay, okay mum, I got it, don't worry. I love you too and don't worry, I have everything under control. Now, goodbye. Don't be late!" His mother laughed quietly before hurrying out the door. Louis chuckled softly at his mother's overprotectiveness but he didn't blame her. It was his first day driving himself and the girls to school. He's driven himself to school plenty of times- he's a senior- but his mother was always there before he left, making sure he had everything. Now that she has a new job, she can't and has to rely on her son to be responsible enough to take care of the girls in the morning and himself since Mark works every morning.
"Girls! Time to go!" He yelled once he had finished his breakfast and had gotten his tie, phone, ID, and keys, "Lottie, Fiz! Bring the twins down with their bags!" They came running down the stairs with their bags on their backs. Lottie had Doris in her arms and Felicite had Ernest. Louis lead the way, grabbing his backpack, which was by the door, on the way.
-
"Alright, please be in class on time. Father will murder me if he finds out I was in charge of you to get to first period on time and failed. So, please hurry. Daisy, Phoebe, you know what class to go to, right?" They nodded happily. "Great! Lottie, Fizzy, you've got your schedules?" He smiled once Lottie showed him her schedule but that smile was soon replaced by a frown once he realized Felicite didn't.
"Oh, Fizzy. Please tell me you're joking!" Louis pleaded but once she looked down sadly, Louis knew she wasn't kidding. He swiped his hand through his hair and groaned.
"Okay. Girls, go to class. I'll take care of Felicite. Go!" He rushed. They all scrammed off to their classes. "Come on."
They both speed walked off to the main office to get her schedule. Louis had Felicite by her wrist and was practically dragging her down the halls. Thankfully, he had a loose grip on her, so she didn't complain.
"I told you to make sure you had everything, Fizz."
"I thought I did, but I guess I forgot since you were rushing!" She defended.
"Oh, please don't turn this back on me. You know this was your responsibility, not mine." He said sternly. He continued to drag her down the hall until he was face to face with the door. He barged in, quietly of course, only to stop abruptly in his place at the sight of the boy that was seated inside.
He had tattoos covering his arms and torso, and piercings on his face, and chocolate curls poorly hidden under a grey beanie. He was intimidating, scary, rebellious looking, but quite handsome in Louis' eyes. His uniform was completely against the dress code. His red tie was loose around his neck, his collar unbottoned, revealing his tattood torso. He was also wearing dark, ripped, jeans instead of the black dress pants students are required to wear, and he wasn't wearing the black blazer with the school's logo on it. As you can see, St. Edward's Catholic School has a very boring dress policy. Louis was dumbfounded.
Once the mysterious, curly headed boy turned around, his lips turned into a smirk. As soon as he winked in Louis' direction, he knew exactly who that boy was.
Harry Styles.

"Louis, are you even listening to me?" Louis snapped out of his thoughts to look at his best friend of 8 years, Eleanor.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I was distracted. What were you saying?" She smiled with a raised eyebrow.
"Wow! How dare you not have your full attention on me, your best friend!" She asked incredulously, obviously joking. Louis rolled his eyes.
"Oh, what a terrible best friend I must be." He played along, causing Eleanor to snort a chuckle.
"So, what's on your mind then?"
"Oh, it's nothing serious. I was just thinking about that new kid. I mean, he must be new right? I don't think I saw him last year. Harry Styles, yeah?" Eleanor nodded.
"Oh, yeah. Nice kid. Talked to him a bit earlier today." She answered with a smile. Louis looked at her, bewildered.
"You talked to him?"
"Yeah?" She admitted, confused as to why Louis was so surprised.
"He seems dangerous."
"Dangerous? Why? Because of his tattoos and piercings? Aww, is poor baby Louis scared?"She teased, obnoxiously. Louis lightly shoved her, rolling his eyes at her.
"Everything. And of course I'm not scared, it's just that my father says I should stay away from him. Thinks he's a bad influence." He informed.
"Your father is so over the top, honestly. Well, he's not that bad, really."
"If you say so. How did he even get into this school? I heard he likes people of the same sex. And he has tattoos all over his body! That's like a double offense towards the law of God!"
"Whatever you say Louis. Just don't be so quick to judge." She said, placing a hand on his shoulder, "Anyway, I should probably get going. I promised Mrs.Litchfield I would come by art class to help her out a bit." Louis nodded. He knew Eleanor always went by during lunch to the art teacher's class to help out, ever since freshmen year. It was her favorite class.
"Alright, I'll go sit at Liam and Stan's table. See ya later, El."
"Bye."

[edited authors note 12/27/18]
i always knew i wanted to finish this book due to it being my first book ever and due to me have worked on it for so many years now so i have sort of revamped this book. i changed a few major details so if you're an og reader, you may want to reread from the beginning. the writing is definitely not the best because this was originally written back in 2013 (i was a baby) and although i did edit it, there's only so much i could do lol im also very out of practice w writing so that is also another reason i couldn't edit this much bc tbh my skills rn are not much better than 2013 lmaooo i just need to start reading and writing more again.[original authors note from like 2013. i apologize for the cringe.]
So, 1050+ words. [bitch what that's not a lot] Yay!!!! I wonder how many pages this will be [like.. one.] Well, hopefully you liked it! About 4 more characters will be introduced next chapter. I'll try to update tomorrow because I really like this!Don't forget to
