VANESSA POV

I felt arms around me as I started to wake up. My eyes opened and Thierry was carrying me from the limousine to his house. It was still daylight when I woke up.

“Are you tired?” asked Thierry.

I looked up at him; he was watching me anxiously.

“Why?” I asked.

“I’m allowed to worry, aren’t I?” he asked smirking.

“You are but I’d prefer if you didn’t,” I laughed.

Thierry opened the front door and walked over to the couch and placed me on it. He bent down in front of me and wiped the hair from my eyes. I moaned pleasurably and he chuckled.

“Are you hungry?” he asked.

“A little,” I admitted.

“I’ll be right back. Stay here,” he commanded.

“Yes, sir!” I laughed as he left me on the couch.

I heard him chuckling in the kitchen.

Several minutes later, Thierry walked out of the kitchen holding a bowl of noodles. I sat up as he handed me the bowl.

“Eat up!” he said sitting beside me.

I nodded and twirled the noodles around my fork and put it in my mouth. They tasted good.

“You’re a good cook,” I complimented him.

”Why thank you, my lady,” he chuckled.

I giggled and leaned on him. We watched the news in silence until Thierry spoke.

“Earlier… Was that too much?” he asked turning off the TV.

“No, it was perfect!” I said putting my empty bowl on the coffee table.

“Really? Because that was the first time for us,” he said.

“In this life or…?” I asked.

“In every life you’ve had,” he told me.

“Wow!” I said surprised.

“’Wow’s the word,” he said in agreement.

As Thierry and I cuddled on the couch watching a romantic comedy, Michael knocked then walked into the lounge room. I pulled myself out of our embrace and moved to the other side of the couch. Michael eyed us suspiciously.

“Mum and dad just called, they’re on their way here,” he said.

“Cool,” I said not really interested.

I grabbed Thierry’s hand and squeezing it. He looked up and smiled at me. I had to smile back at him. I heard Michael grunt at us then sit down on the couch across from us.

I love you, he said.

I love you too, I replied.

Thierry’s eyes left mine; he looked at Michael who was glaring at us. Then Thierry’s eyes met mine again.

“Vanessa, can I talk to you alone?” he asked standing up.

I stood up automatically and took his hand. He squeezed my hand and walked me through the kitchen and out the back door. He led me into a huge back yard filled with rose bushes, all different types of shrubs and trees. A huge fountain was in the middle. There was a small river running through the middle of the garden. Thierry jumped over it and then helped me walk over it. There were small pebbles at the bottom of the river. Thierry walked over to a huge oak tree which sat on the other side of the garden. Underneath it, sat a white wooden bench with a bird bath next to it. The garden was lit with fairy lights and solar lights.

“It’s so beautiful Thierry,” I said as we sat down on the wooden bench.

Thierry let me look around the beautiful garden for a few minutes then spoke, “I’ve always waited for this moment.”

I looked at him confused. He sighed and slid off the bench gracefully and bent down on one knee in front of me.

“I know that we’re young but… I love you Vanessa, I always have so what I’m trying to ask you is… Will you marry me?” he asked holding out a red jewelry box with a gold ring with three diamonds on it.

I stood up and gasped with my hands covering my mouth.

“Vanessa?” asked Thierry.
