I put on my hoodie and was about to do my nightly jog at the nearby park. I grab my phone and tuck it inside my pocket.

As I open the door, there he is standing, Patrick Huffentle, my ex-boyfriend. Oh, another one.

"Hun, I've been calling you for the past 10 minutes." He said with a bouquet of dandelions wrapped in red.

"I know. And we were done for the past 3 weeks. How did you know my where I am anyway?"

"My family invests in GPS technology. Of course, I would know where you are."

"That sounds creepy, Patrick." I sniff as I try to hold my tears until I am finally running.

I am about to step out of the house and get moving when a solid grip twists me until I am finally facing him again.

"Don't you dare turn your back. We're still talking!"

"You know, this is the main reason why I broke up with you. You're abusive and a pack full of lies."

"Is this man bothering you, ma'am?"

"Dante, step away and go back inside the house."

"Ohh, so this is the prick. You are cheating on me!" His finger is harshly pointing at my chest that causes me to move away.

"How dare you. No, Dante, I said stay right there!" I am now angry too. I never cheated on him and he is biter because he is not used to someone breaking up with him. It hurts his ego thinking about it. "I want you to leave, Patrick! We're over!"

Patrick raises his hand about to slap me and I am ready for it. I am about to step back when all of a sudden, I see him fly from the place he was standing and onto the bushes. Head first onto the bushes as he shouts for help. More and more neighbors are taking notice and others were opening their doors to see. Oh, God, this is absolutely embarrassing. "Don't ever come back here again or I swear to God, I will end you." I whispered to him but with such intensity for the others to not hear.

I look at Dante and I shake my head. Taking his hand forcefully, I pushed him onto the passenger seat of my car which I retrieved a few hours ago. I drive away as fast as I can and into the night leaving Patrick now on the floor sitting and I guess he just grabs a handful of grass and throw it on the sidewalk.

"Where are we going, miss?"

He is not worried. Dante just sits relaxed and even for the most part he looks at me puzzled as if he did something wrong. He just threw someone on a bush and if I haven't stepped in, he would have kicked the living daylights out of the sole heir to the Horizon Corp.

"We're going to go the bottom of this. I have a lot of questions and sure you're not answering all of them. So, clearly, we're going to SciCorp. And I don't know where it is so I need an address."

Silence.

"How far is it?"

"It's 2, 915.4 miles away, ma'am."

"Shit!" I abruptly parked on the side of the road just a few meters away from a fast food chain. I dial the number of the company on my phone and waited for someone to pick up.

"Hi. Welcome to SciCorp customer service. We are currently unavailable. Please call-"

I toss it on the front passenger's seat and run my fingers on my hair. This is crazy. Literally, his presence just bugs the hell out of me. Just sitting there calmly and almost with no emotion.

"I don't like you." I said defeated. It may have sounded lame but who cares.

"You don't have to like me. I am here to serve."
