The Stranger Next Door

Chapter 2.

I woke up this morning, to be completely upset no today was my first day of school. Wonderful. I skipped breakfast, and dragged myself to the bus stop. The boy that I saw from last night was there. he looked at me with his deep ocean eyes and said

"Hey, you must be the new movers from across the street." he put his hand out in front of me, his smile as perfect as can be. "I'm Austin Bines."

"You're the boy I saw outside yesterday!"

I made a low giggle and he did too. The fact that he laughed at me made me feel less alone. "I'm Emmlynn Jordan." I spoke as my hand met his, along with our eyes. Man, his eyes really were blue! An amazing, bright baby blue shade. They were the kind of unique eyes that you wish you could look at for hours. "So, how old are you?" I asked.

"Me? Fifteen."

"Me too."

"Cool. Maybe your in some of my classes."

"Yeah, Maybe." I secretly hoped. I felt some weird connection with Austin. Was it how nice he was? Was it his charming personality? I was interrupted by my thoughts as he asked for my schedule. He told me which classes we had together, and we only have one class that doesn't have us together! I can live with that. The creaky bus stop in front of us. Yes go to me to the 18th row of the bus to the right. I am guessing that that is his everyday seat. As I sit near the window and get comfortable, Austin nudged me an earbud. I smiled a little and took the earbud from his hand.

After a while, the bus stop in front of Ridgeway high school, and I suddenly realized I forgot my student card on the kitchen table. "Crap!" I whispered.

"What's up?"

" I left my student card on my kitchen table."

"it'll be OK! They always expect newbies to forget something." he finished saying, reassuring me. "I guess your right." I smiled. He laughed and someone turned to shh him. We made a funny face and our hands touched once again when I handed his earbud back. we walked off of our bus and I noticed that our bus number was number 23. Who knows? that might come in handy.
