Mistakes of Yesterday

You may think my life is pretty simple now that your up to speed. So I got asked out my a cute guy and my brother didn't like it. Pretty standard. Until you find out that I, Ruby Spero, am adopted. Yep I'm an African American, 13 year old girl and I have no idea who my biological parents are.
Now that you know that much let me tell you what's happening right now. Adonis Deceete is the bad boy of my grade. Simon Towers on the other hand,
"H-h-hi, Ruby." Simon stuttered, fixing his blond hair with a blush on his freckled face.
"Simon! What's up?" I asked.
"Well, I just wanted to know if you-" he gulped,"if you wanted to maybe go on a date with me?" He looked at the ground.
"Oh." I said. He suddenly looked me strait in the eye his strong blue eyes held me in place.
"Uh." I managed to glance away.
"I-uh-I don't-" He lowered his head.
"I don't know." I replied at long last, I just couldn't hurt him. Maybe later.
"Okay." He replied. And walked away.
"You know the Towers boys are pretty much the best you could do." I whirled around to see none other than Dolore Risus herself, with her bodyguard boyfriend Christian Towers holding her arm.
"Christian?" She said.
"I'll be in the library." He said heading down the hall.
"Of course you would say that your dating a Towers."
"What?" She asked in shock.
"Oh, come on everybody knows." I rolled my eyes.
"Me and Christian?" She asked again.
"Yep. Don't even try and deny it. Like I said: everyone knows."
She sighed,"Josh told me all about Adonis."
"Since when are you two friends?" I asked
"Since-" her blind eyes wandered the hall,"since Georgie told me to be."
"Oh yeah cause you 'saw her in heaven'. Sure."
"What do you mean?"
"You were probably just dreaming, I you were out for a couple days."
"It was real I know it."
"Sure. Then did she say anything about me?"
"Yes."
"What?"
"I don't want to-"
"See it's all made-"
"Fine. She told me I had to fix her greatest mistake."
