"You weren't supposed to read that yet."
That is what he said to me. I shoved him.
"I'm not supposed to know who I am? Im not supposed to how God is a traitor? I'm not supposed to find out exactly what she meant?"
"That's not what Georgie meant."
"Oh? Then what did she mean when she told me God alone may pass judgement-"
"Sometimes he even kills good people." Josh finished,"I was there."
"What?"
"I was there when Georgie tested your faith and you snapped."
I didn't answer him. We had been alone.
"I was in the the next room over peeking through the door."
"Why?" I asked, my brother had never,in my knowing him, been the type to sneak around and eavesdrop.
"I thought it was obvious." He stated I raised my eyebrows,"I had a crush Georgianna White." I thought back to all the times I had seen them together. Yes he did have a crush on her. That was until...
"Until you met Dolore." He smiled,
"Yeah." He looked down and sighed,"but you wanna know what I like about this conversation?"
"What?" I asked
"Every time you refer to God. You refer to him as 'is'."
"So?"
"So?! So your admitting he is real!"I shrugged,
"So what?"
"I knew you never stopped believing, he was real!"
I shrugged again.
"You just stopped believing he was good."
"How could I keep believing that? You wanna know what you didn't hear? You wanna know what she said to me? She said,'I know how your parents died.' And when I asked her she said,' God passed judgement.'"
I was yelling again. He pulled me back down to sit by him on the floor.
"God did pass judgement that day." I tried to punch him but he caught my hand,"he took them to paradise to live with him." That's when I broke. The anger was like a dam holding back the tears and the anger was still there, but it was broken.
Josh wrapped his arms around me while I cried my eyes out.
