This book was written with the intent to promote parental responsibility, not just by one parent, but collectively. One failing child later becomes the responsibility of every responsible parent. After all, whether they join gangs, end up on welfare or end up in prison, tax-payers will pay. The role of parental engagement is critical to a productive life for kids as well as for society. Without robust parental engagement education reforms will follow the old worn pathway of consistent failures. The likely end result will then be failure –collective failure because everyone will ultimately be impacted.
