Mark

I can't breath

I'm running, over and over again.

Keep moving, keep going so they don't catch you. Listen to mom, if you stop moving they'll find you, they'll catch you. Everyday is the same, leave, run, hide.

Is there any point in running any more? Maybe they've forgotten about me, maybe it's useless and they'll find me anyways.

I'm tired of running, have I been running this whole time?

I trip over a branch on the ground. This is it, I can't go anymore, I'm out of breath and my vision is blurry. I'm scared, I can feel something approaching me, coming closer, it's going to kill me.

But I smell it, the beautiful smell of coffee and sweets, I've always loved that smell. Suddenly I feel safe and I can stand. The forest is brighter, and I see a figure in the distance.

Before I could see him though, I wake up.

Normal p.o.v

Mark wakes suddenly, though it's not in a cold sweat, or in terror, he's just suddenly awake. The room's awfully bright, and it causes Mark to have a slight headache. He thinks about his dream, and he wonders if he should still be there, his mother had always told him to run, and to hide. Now suddenly he's normal, and has his own room, with someone who's like family, even a friend.

He doesn't want to run anymore though. He wants a family, he wants to be normal.

He gets up, trying to shake the thoughts from his head, choosing to think about it another day. He puts on some clothes and jogs downstairs.

He sees Jinyoung in the kitchen making a breakfast. He goes by unnoticed until he opens the fridge to grab something for himself.

"Morning" he glances over and nods his head in response, voice still groggy.

"I made eggs and lot's of meat, not sure what you prefer" Mark was slightly surprised.

"You cook breakfast for everyone? You didn't seem like the type," Jinyoung shrugged and smiled. "My mother preferred my help in the kitchen, now I'm the only one who can feed everyone here."

Mark smiled, he had a bad opinion about Jinyoung, but he seems to smile very genuinely when he talks about his family. Mark takes the plate offered to him, and takes a seat the the table.

"That sounds nice, I never learned to cook, me and my mother never had time for those things" Jinyoung hummed and nodded, setting plates for everyone, including Kunpimook and Jackson.

"Well that's a shame, home meals taste the best I think."

Jaejin, Kunpimook, and Jackson come to the kitchen, they looked as if they just came back from a meeting of some sorts. "Morning son, Mark, how was your night?"

Mark shrugged, "It was good, very comfortable" he held up a thumbs up as he took a bite of some sausage.

"Mark can you take these papers for me, they're for the alphas son." Ms. Lee handed Mark a stack of papers.

"For Jinyoung? Isn't he too old for school?" She laughed and shook her head, "No it's for his other son, Yugeom" mark looked down at the name written at the top of the papers.

"Does he sit at the back?" She nodded, "yes, right at the desk you sit at." He looks back towards the desk, the intoxicating scent still present on it, he smells it in the school wherever he goes, the gym, the cafeteria, even the restroom.

"Sure, I'll make sure they get to him"
Mark leaves the school, Jackson isn't there to escort him since he's with the alpha, but Mark is good at memorizing places, so he makes his own way to the training arena.

Once there he changes his clothes into active wear, taping up his hands he goes to the punching bags first.

He lets out his frustrations there, all his confusion over weather or not he should stay, and all of his anger towards himself. He thinks about his mother and everything he's been through.

Even with the tape his knuckles bruised, and were beginning to ache.

"Yo dude calm down" Mark does one final hard punch before turning towards the voice unknowingly with a glare.

"Sorry, it's just, you look like you're doing a pretty heavy number on your hands." Mark shrugged, he was frustrated and he didn't even know why. "Sorry, I have to go, you can use it" the man went to say something but Mark had already left.

"Mark! You're back good, my son just arrived home from his training, this is Yugeom my youngest." Mark stops at the door. He feels something in his stomach from looking at the young alpha. His blonde hair, tall body, and cute face, Mark couldn't understand the feeling in his stomach, it was like it was twisting up into a ball, and he felt a little queasy.

"Hi Mark, dad said a lot about you." He reached his hand towards Mark, but Mark instinctively backed away, Yugeom seemed confused along with Jaejin.

"Sorry I'm really exhausted, I'm going to rest, oh," He pulled the papers from his bag, "these are for you, its schoolwork," He handed the papers to Yugeom, being cautious to not touch him, then he left to his room.

The scent was incredibly strong on Yugeom. It made Mark dizzy, and all of his frustrations were gone and he was relaxed. Mark loved it, but he's not sure why.
