Chapter 3: Sparkle talks to Emma

Sparkle

I couldn't believe that Emma is actually Hunter's little sister! It took me a big surprise as Hotarla said, "Hey, I wonder where did Emma and Oma went off to?"

I said to my spider, "I think I know exactly where they would be." I went to the same spot where Hunter first sat by himself after he and Shadow first had a disagreement. 

She was gazing at the night sky, as I grinned silently as I knew that it was time for me to talk to the newest member of the Spider Riders. 

"I figured you might be here." I said, as Emma was in total shock and stunned of my appearance as she startled and say, "Sparkle! I didn't notice you were here." 

I ask, "May I?" 

She gestures me a seat as I look up at the stars, "You know, it's a funny feeling.  It felt like I'm having the same experience I've had with Hunter. 

He was kind of an older brother to me besides Lumen ." 

Emma said, totally surprised, "Really? 

I said, "Sure. This exact spot is where I first interact with your brother when he first became a Spider Rider." 

Emma seems to be upset as she said, "Why didn't he tell me about any of this? Why he disappeared from the outside world?"

That was when Hunter said, "Emma, I'm so sorry that I haven't been a good brother lately. 

Being a Spider Rider is no simple task and I can't abandon Arachina or the Spider Riders. 

Corona and the others , we became sort of like a family." 

She scoffed as Hunter asks, "Hey, Sparkle, can I have a moment alone with my sister? She has to hear what I have to say." 

I nod, "Of course. You're her brother, I'm sure you can explain everything." 

I walk away as Hunter looks at Emma.

Hunter

I still can't believe that Emma actually became a Spider Rider. Still, it would make it a lot easier for us since I've discovered that I wasn't the only human Spider Rider in Arachina anymore.

Sparkle left us to talk as Emma didn't look directly at me. It seems like she still was mad at me of not returning home to the outside world.

"Em, please, talk to me. We're both Spider Riders now, and we have to be honest to each other." I said to my younger sister.

Oma said in her manacle,  "Emma, you can't be mad of your brother all the time. He's just worried about you, as any older brother would." 

"I can't believe you! You literally disappeared without a note, anything! I was worried sick about you and now I am a Spider Rider in a world that I don't know about?!?"

"I know it's overwhelming, but I will help you adjust your new responsibilities as a Spider Rider. Sparkle and the others helped me this much and now it's my turn to help you. 

You'll be under my wing. I'm sure Leon would be thrilled I have an apprentice and it would help him being less worried as the leader of the Spider Riders ."

"You sure about this, Hunter?" She asks as he raises his manacle, "Spider Shadow out!"

The black spider appears as he said, "Shadow, how about we take my sister and her spider on their first night patrol around the village?"

Emma and Oma followed us, but she still couldn't believe that I hid the fact that I was a Spider Rider. 

Man, this could be way harder than I thought it would be. How could I possibly make up to her?

As we continue on our way, Shadow senses something. 

Emma asks, "Oma, what is it?" 

Her spider said, "Shadow and I sensed something, something bad."

Hunter and Shadow swing through the air, like they have done it a long time, which I was still in compete awe that he's a completely different person than I once knew in the outside world. 

But I really don't get it. Why didn't he leave the Inner World and bring Shadow to the outside world with him?

That question still in my mind, as I still trying to adjust that he is a Spider Rider. 

It amazed me that Hunter was in a different parallel world , and he looks completely different than he used to be. 

As we continued on patrol, I was unease with him. 

Oma sees how uncomfortable I was, as she whispers, "Talk to him. You may learn a lot since this is going to be your home for a while." 

As I looked at my Spider, with a curious expression, Hunter said, "We can rest here . I want to know how you entered to the Inner World, Emma. " 

"You sure you want to know? " I ask my older brother with a curious expression, as he pouts, "Of course I do! 

I want to because I am shocked you were not just able to enter to the Inner World, but also able to transform into a Spider Rider on your first day? I'm speechless." 

"I guess that I have to tell you, although, you owe me." I replied, as he waves his hands, "I'm all yours, sis!"
