Still Trapped

Part 12

Joseph lost his cool when he found the portrait in his room destroyed. He called for an investigation.

Steve hated everything that was related to his mother, he was glad that portrait was taken down. He didn't call any investigation.

Logan was clever enough to have the blame shifted. He deliberately injured himself in front of Steve. So there were no questions directed at him.

Joseph was out of control, so Steve had him taken to the hospital. He usually had these breakdowns.

Steve was one day practicing with Logan. And for the first time, Steve was defeated. Logan took him down twice. And then helped him up, with a smile.

"You have a lot more to learn, brother" Logan said with a smile.

"I thought I was the best fighter, around here" Steve said.

"You were, and you will become" Logan said.

"I don't have to learn from you" Steve said.

"Why not? " Logan asked.

"I don't trust anyone enough to teach me. I learn on my own. I have done everything on my own for so long that.. " Steve sighed.

"Your father? Didn't he teach you? " Logan asked.

"What could he teach me? How to loose their minds over a cheater wife? He stayed more at the hospital then at home, sober. And now that he had a few years of sanity, that stupid photo is ruined and he's back. " Steve said bitterly, "I don't want to learn from him and become a loser. I have my ways. I have a wife who is so scared of me, she won't ever think of cheating on me. She can't leave even if she wants to. She will stay with me forever. And I won't loose my shit "

Logan felt bad for Natasha, she was paying the price of someone else's sins.

"She won't leave you, Steve" Logan put his hand on Steve's shoulder, "She really loves you"

"I highly doubt that. What have I done that would make her fall in love with me? She loves our son, she is here because she has nowhere to go. She isn't brave. She is staying because she knows she cannot run" Steve said.

"That's not the truth, Steve. She had a chance, but she didn't turn away from you" Logan said.

"She knew she didn't have a chance, Logan. She knows that. Because unlike my father, I would find her and I will take her back. " Steve said and left.

Logan was scared for Natasha, "I will change this, I will change him, I will bring my little brother on track" he promised himself.

Natasha was inside the bath, and Steve entered. He was sweating badly. Natasha peeked from the shower curtain.

"What happened? " she asked.

He quickly got out of his clothes and joined her. Pulling her into his arms.

"Nothing, just practice " he said. She smiled. He kissed her on the lips, gently.

"You are mine" he said.

"Of course I am" she said, hugging him. She knew he was scared of loosing her. And she kept assuring him.

"I need to go" she said, "James, must be hungry "

He grabbed her hip so hard it made her wince, "Go" he said, and kissed her.

She rushed away when he left her. It was so difficult for her to put up with him. He was so dangerous. But he was her destiny.

When she left the room, she found Logan.

"Did he hurt you? " he asked, cupping her cheek.

"No, why? Did he? " Natasha was scared.

"Natasha, just be careful. He is.. Not in his right mind. And I am just a call away if you ever need me. Okay? " he said. And she nodded.

She walked to James's room and Logan sighed. His phone rang again.

"I'm trying, but.. There is a much more important thing to deal with. His.. His wife.. She is innocent and.. She is in danger with him. I have to protect her" Logan said to the person on the phone.

On the other side, Sam, Maria and Bucky didn't understand how Steve trusted Logan so much. And Bucky was especially bitter, since Logan talked and touched Natasha, while none of them could even take her name loud. He was sure it was Logan's place where he had arrived. And he thought that Logan was there with alter motives. He decided to warn Steve.

Natasha took James back to her own room. She didn't want Steve to loose it again.

Steve smiled as she entered back into the room.

"Can I feed him here? " she asked.

"Of course, my queen" Steve said with a smile.

Natasha settled beside him, and adjusted James.

"You won't leave me, right? " Steve asked.

"Of course I won't "she replied.

"Don't even try, don't even think of it"  Steve said.

Natasha got tears in her eyes, no matter what she did, he was still doubtful. She held James close, for support.

Steve caressed her exposed breast. And she forced a smile.

"I love you" he said.

"I love you too" she said, trying to sound normal.

When James was done feeding, Steve took him from her, and started playing with him.

"I got a new nightie for you, go put it on" he commanded her. She nodded. And walked towards the wardrobe.

"We won't loose her, James. You won't go through what I did. I won't loose it like your grandpa. You will always have your mother. And I will always have my beautiful wife with me" he said, "now, you have to go, give us some privacy for now. I love you, son" he kissed James's cheeks.

He walked out of the room with James, and Logan saw them. He sighed.

On his way back, Steve saw Logan heading out.

"Where to? " Steve asked him.

"The hospital, my hand.. Need to get the tetanus shot" he said

"We can do that, here" Steve said.

"Yeah, but... I think I might have broken a bone, better to get it checked" Logan said. Steve nodded and returned to his room.

Logan sighed, "I will correct all of this. I will save you Natasha, I will protect you little James. And I will get you on the right track, little brother" he thought, and left.

So, its pretty clear that Joseph and Steve are both mentally unstable due to Sarah's departure.
How would that affect Natasha?
And Bucky😑 will he again lead to something scary?
Will Logan be able to protect his family?
