Tranquility surrounded this room, but not Mark’s heart. He kept wide awake and feeling confused this night. A lot of things happened this day, and maybe those are the reason.

“Huh,” he sat up on his bed. “I think I need some alcohol.” He got up and walk right to his kitchen.

Mark opened the container to see if there was any soju left. But unfortunately, there wasn’t.

“What the heck? You freaking kidding me? At 2 AM?” he shook his head. “Whatever, I’ll buy them right now.”

.
.

The road is quiet already, there were just some cabs passing by. Mark walked towards his flat happily, carrying two plastic bags of sojus.

“That ma’am was so kind, she even gave me 2 bottles as bonus because I visit her often,” he giggled like a kid.

“I lowkey want some wines right now but I haven’t sent my design yet,” he kicked a gravel. “Saw a wine on tv but my independent life and my broke ass can’t relate. Ah i have to make more money by my own.” Mark mumbled.

“Ouch!”

Mark stopped because he feel frightened. He suddenly got a goosebump.

“I-Is anyone there?” he looked at the dark pavements that extended in front of him.

“Who the fuck threw this damn gravel to me?”

Why is it sounds familiar? Mark tilted his head to see to where the voice came. As he narrowed his eyes to see something clearer, he saw someone with weak eyes and unsteady move. That person palpated his back, looks like the gravel hit right on his back.

“Wait,” Mark frowned. “Park Jinyoung? Is that you?”

He turned around. “Oh,” he walked unsteady towards Mark.

“You’re the blonde guy right? Mark Tuan.”

“How… I haven’t told you my name yet,”

“Do you think I’m dumb? I asked Kath right after ourㅡwhat is it calledㅡfight? First encounter? First encounter in the bathroom?” He licked his lips teasingly.

Mark rolled his eyes. “Bitch. You’re drunk. You even smell like a whole whiskey.”

Jinyoung walked closer to Mark and put his hands around Mark’s neck as he staring at Mark with his weak eyes, making him startled.

“Ya! Take your hands off me! What are you doi—"

“Jack…son. I… lost h-him,” he said between his heavy breath. Even Mark can smell the whole alcohol from his breath.

“Wait what? Why so suddenly?” Mark widened his eyes.

Jinyoung tightened his arms around Mark’s neck and lowered his head down. “I… lost Sseun…ie,”

“Yeah but wasn’t it so suddenly?”

“I… lost h-hi…” Jinyoung choked on his own words.

“Can you being sober right now and answer my questions properly instead of repeating the same dumb sentence over and over? These sojus are waiting for me dude I wanna go home, let your hands off me,”

Jinyoung didn’t speak at all and still lowered his head down.

“You’re even crying?! Whoa, you’re—” he shook his head. “—I can’t believe that whiskey did this to you,”

“Jack…son d-did this to me,” he spoke between his sob.

Mark took a deep breath. “Just go home. Go away from me you crazy drunkard,”

Jinyoung lifted his head and shook his head fast. “I won’t… I won’t go home now.”

“Haish! You make today even worse,” again, Mark rolled his eyes, but this time he accidentally landed his sight at Jinyoung’s lips that reddened. His beautiful cherry-like lips that a little swollen because he cries so much, stole Mark’s attention. That perfect reddish, plumped lips ruined Mark’s brain.

Mark gulped because he can’t take his eyes off it. He finally took a deep breath after all that silence. “Ji-Jinyoung… You know,”

“Wae?” Jinyoung pouted, right in front of Mark’s thirst face.

Mark clenched his fist. Dammit. He’s testing me.

“You know… Uhm… Uh—that you can’t put your hands around me like this, in public,”

Drunk Jinyoung just blinked his eyes a few times.

“I-I mean I’m holding these plastic bags all this time and it-it’s so h-heavy,” Mark stuttered, but he was still be able to control his voice.

“Ah, I can help you. Gimme,”

“You sure?”

Jinyoung took his hands off Mark gently. “Yeah,” he took one plastic bag of some sojus.

“Good,” Mark grinned widely. “But could you walk properly? You’re still drunk,”

“Ah,” Jinyoung tossed his hand to the air. “I’m better n-now. Don’t worry,”

Of course you’re not. “Is that so?” Mark smirked.

Jinyoung nodded. He gripped a fence near him to balancing himself.

“So, now, Jinyoung, would you help me take these to my flat, please?”
