"For someone who can make a feast fit for the gods, you're here eating instant cup noodles in front of the TV," Sanha poked Jeonghui who was deep into the latest drama. Jeonghui merely frowned as she slurped up the last of her noodles and burped quietly.
"How did you get in?" she questioned, setting the fifth cup onto the coffee table.
Sanha tossed the spare key to the apartment onto the short table and made himself comfortable on her couch where she sat, long legs resting on her thighs. "It took me forty excruciating minutes to find your keys. Only to know you taped it under your shoe rack," he groaned dramatically. Jeonghui huffed. Now she had to find a new spot to hide her keys. Thankfully, she had written a list of possible places to put her keys into her diary that came with a lock. One of them involving taping it behind her neighbour's unit number plate.
Jeonghui adjusted her position so she would be more comfortable on the couch now that there were two people on it. It had been a long time she had shared a space with someone other than Bammie. She had to admit, she missed having a human friend resting right next to her. It was lonely.
Sanha giggled at one of the comical scenes in the drama, his socked foot tickling her elbow. Jeonghui smiled as she played with his toe, making his leg jerk violently. Ah, right. He was ticklish. A few minutes later, Jeonghui's eyes lit up in mischief as she tickled the bottom of Sanha's foot. Sanha kicked violently, laughter threatening to burst out from his mouth.
"Don't," he choked out, trying to be threatening but failed as Jeonghui's fingers reached for his waist and started wriggling about. Sanha's pained laughter felt like music to her ears as he gasped for breath while trying to avoid her fingers. "No, stop! Stop!" he thrashed violently as Jeonghui hovered above him with a cheeky smile.
Eventually, she stopped and pulled back, a silly smile on her face. Yep, she did enjoy some human company some times.

Sanha's a noisy sleeper. And a sleep hugger, Jeonghui realised as the boy laid his head on her lap and hugged her waist tightly. Heavy snores felt like a volcano eruption as he buried his face deeper into her stomach. Okay, Jeonghui exaggerated about the volcano eruption but it was distracting enough from watching her cooking videos.
But it reminded her of an old memory. A sweet nostalgia that sent her wishing for it back. More like at least that point of time, ignoring all the harshness of reality. She recalled the way his short hair felt against her hand. Not too rough and not too soft as she affectionately ran her hand through. Sanha's hair was way too soft. Like flower petals. She remembered how she always called the older boy with a strange but still cute nickname as she hummed to him. "Chanppa," she mumbled.
Chanppa. Chan and oppa. She had nicknames for the rest of the members but Chanppa was a hilarious inside joke between the both of them. Chan was her best friend, the closest she had as her same-aged friend despite the two years age difference. Sanha wasn't Chan. Ever since three years ago, when Jinyoung introduced her to his friends and his friends' colleagues, Sanha took an interest in her, being a year older than her. He often found chances to talk to her and he gradually grew on her. Sanha was her growing on her, unexpected sort of best friend but he wasn't Chan.
Jeonghui sighed as she continued patting Sanha. A purr came from his lips has he twisted his body to face away from her, his arms leaving her waist and tucked under his head. Her hands stilled and slowly, she placed a tentative kiss onto his temple. It was a friendly kiss and she used to do it all the time to Chan. But the feel was sort of different in a way she couldn't tell. Maybe Sanha really just wasn't Chan. "I'm sorry," she whispered as she stroke his head as if she wanted him to forget she did just that.
