Chapter 3- Nice Gestures
Michaels' POV
I sauntered to the door of my shared apartment and shut the door behind me. "Luke, your ass just got fucking saved." I shouted, walking into the kitchen. Luke stood there cleaning the dishes he had used to make lunch, he didn't even bother to look at me. I sighed and smacked him on the head.
"Ow, dude what the hell?" I laughed quietly as he rubbed where I hit him.
"Autumn, she just saved your ass." He gave me a questioning look and handed me a plate filled with food. He grabbed one for himself and sat down on one of the bar stools.
"What do you mean?" He cocked his head to the side, and took a drink of the glass of water in front of him.
"You know Hannah, the chick you have been sleeping with?" He nodded slowly and raised an eyebrow, waiting for me to continue.
I told him about the rest of the encounter and a look of surprise was clear on his face, "Why would she help me? I was a dick to her."
"I don't know, Luke but maybe you should apologize to her. Anyway, why were you such a dick to her?" He sighed and ran a hand through his blonde hair.
"Because, she reminded me of one of my ex-girlfriends, one of the ones I actually liked." I shook my head at his reply, that is no reason to be rude.
"Whatever, just go and apologize to her." I stood up and placed the plate in the sink and walked to my room, leaving Luke alone.
Autumns' POV
I couldn't contain my excitment, my brother was finally home. I smiled when he held the door open for me, he was always so sweet and caring. I ignored the look he was giving me and turned the light on, "Welcome home!" I squealed and ran to the kitchen, in desprate need of food.
"You have not changed a bit, you are still the dorky and weird little sister." I rolled my eyes and stuck my toungue out at him.
"Stop being so mean, Jackie." I whined and threw an apple at him, which he expertly caught with one hand. He was always the one who was good in sports, while I was the one who liked to read and write.
"I'm going to head to bed, that flight was really long." I smiled slightly and nodded my head.
"Goodnight, Jackie." He hugged me and headed to his room located next to mine. I sighed, why did I help Luke? He had been a complete douche bag to me.
*
The next morning there was a knock on the front door, startling me from me deep slumber. When I had anwsered it I did the first thing that came to mind, slam the door in their face. I heard a faint grunt come from the other side and another knock.
"Autumn, why won't you open the door?" The deep voice asked. I ran a hand through my long hair and slowly turned the door knob. Luke stood there with a bright red nose and a slight scowl, a small laugh left my lips.
"Thank you." I stopped laughing and stared at him, mouth slightly open.
"What? Why?" I asked quietly.
He smiled down at me and said, "Because, you didn't tell him the truth yesterday." I nodded in understanding.
"You're welcome, Luke. Oh, you might want to stay away from my brother for a while; he is not happy." Luke nodded and ran a hand through his hair.
"I want to tell him it was me at least." I glanced at my brothers' closed door and shrugged.
"Fine, but if he beats you up it's not my fault." He rolled his eyes and walked inside the apartment.
I threw my hands up in the air, "Did I say you could come in?"
He shook his head, a bright smile on his face. "Nope."
There was something about him that made me want to slap him multiple times. Yet, he kept me on my toes, and I never excepted what would happen next; especially when my brother entered the living room.
