Nate: (answers)

You: Nate?

Nate: y/n, sup dimples?

You: Um. Nothing listen.

Nate: yeah?

You: Costs has gotten really sick. I can't make it tonight.

Nate: you're not trying to run off with my money aren't you?(laugh)

You:(laugh) Nooo.

Nate: I was playing.

You: So we're good?

Nate: Yeah, but you know you can't miss anymore this week.

You: gotcha.

Nate: (hangs up)

You: (look at the phone then call the number on the ticket)

EJ: so Costa. How are things at home?

Costa: Good (eats his spaghetti)

EJ: (looks at Taylor)

Taylor: (nods)

EJ: You okay there? Feel safe?

Costa: (nods eating) oh dad! (Runs from the table to the living room and back)

EJ; wassup?

Costa: Taylor. dad. Y'all want to see something?

Taylor: Sure.

EJ: (pulls out a walkie talkie from behind his back) I got this at the camp.

Taylor: cool.

EJ: where's the other one?

Costa: My mom has it. We were supposed to play Cops. But she had to work.

You: (pull up at a restaurant)

Your POV: Looks expensive.

You: (take out your phone)

Prod: Hey lady.

You: (look at the Window) Craig.

Prod: Sorry. I saw you pull up

You: (laugh a little)

Prod: oh. (Opens your door)

You: Thanks.

Prod: (looks at your dress) you look amazing.

You: thanks.

-minutes later-

You: So officer Craig. What made you invite me here?

Prod: Well. I wanted to get to know you.

You: Well you pretty much know me. Single mom trying to make ends meet.

Prod: I know. But I feel like that's just surface you. I want to get to know you on a deeper level. If that is possible.

You: (blush and look down laughing) um. (Looks back up)

Prod: (smiling)

You: I doubt it..(laugh nervously and look down) these days I like to keep to myself.

Prod:(looking at you) i'll take it slow. What's your favorite color?

You: purple
